“Baby, you’re gonna have to try. This is your show. If you want to try something new, I need to know what it is.”

“You’re not interested in asking Xander to be…?”

“No. I don’t think Xander is the right person. But I won’t deny that I had thought about it.”

Clearly, he had known exactly what she was referring to.

“I had too.” She had actually been excited by the idea of a threesome.

Sam watched the road in front of them for a moment before she asked, “Do you think Xander would be willing to help us with this BDSM stuff?”

“I think Xander’s open to giving us a few pointers. As to how far I’ll be willing to go, I don’t know.”

“You can’t tell me that you didn’t like what you saw last night.”

Logan glanced over at her and laughed, that sexy, rough tone making her heartbeat speed up. “Baby, I buried my cock in your pussy, I don’t think there was any disguising the fact that I liked it. I won’t deny that. That doesn’t mean you’ll enjoy it if you were in Mercedes’s shoes.”

“Are they together?” Sam asked.

“I don’t know.”

“If they aren’t, do you think you would reconsider Xander for a threesome?”

“No. Sam, Xander’s not the right man for what you’re thinking. He’s a Dom. He’s not going to willingly walk into a situation where he isn’t in control. And you know I’m not willing to give up control.”

After that conversation, they had actually been back twice. Once on Wednesday for what had been dubbed Devotion’s BDSM theme night and again last night.

On Wednesday, their attendance had been more of a social gathering. Not that there was anything wrong with socializing because, other than work, there wasn’t much else that she did besides hang out with her best friend, Sierra, and Sierra’s husbands, Luke and Cole, or sit around and chat with Ashleigh and Alex, Tag and McKenna, and even Kane and Lucie from time to time.

So, yes, her life revolved around spending time with her friends. Or going to the club. Or both. Just not this often.

Then there was last night’s adventure, which had been pre-planned, and Sam had enjoyed herself, even if the night – or more accurately, Logan’s mood – had taken a strange turn. Again, she got the impression it was from the man who’d come into their room and watched them.

Ever since that conversation with Logan, Sam had been trying to figure out what was going on. Logan was waffling on what he wanted, or so it seemed to her. Based on what she gathered from talking to Logan, they needed a little time to figure out what it was they both wanted. Away from the allure of the club.

Logan apparently wasn’t on the same page.

Although Sam had been surprised by Logan’s renewed interest in going to Devotion last night, she found his suggestion a little coincidental since it followed right on the heels of his most recent visit to X-hale, Xander Boone’s infamous cigar bar where the boys liked to hang out.

From the moment Logan had stepped foot in the house Thursday night, Sam realized he was simmering with anticipation. She tried to pry out of him the reason for his sudden eagerness, but he wouldn’t tell her.

But Sam could put two and two together. It wasn’t all that difficult.

Coincidentally, last night Logan had been talking to the attractive dark haired man, who, also coincidentally, had played voyeur to their private party. She knew somehow that man played a part in all of this; it just didn’t actually explain why she hadn’t received a formal introduction to him.

So, of course, as soon as Logan told her that he wanted to take her to Devotion tonight, Sam had called Sierra.

“We’re going to the club tonight. Will you be there?”

“Yes. Luke and Cole want to be there for a few days since the club just opened. My mom’s watching Hannah so I can join them. Why? Are you going?”

“Yes,” Sam confirmed.

“Awesome. I guess I’ll see you in a little while.”

“Wait, Sierra. I’ve got a question.”

“I might just have an answer,” Sierra said with a laugh.

“There was a man there last night. Attractive. Dark hair, scruffy face, light brown eyes. He was wearing a dark suit but no tie. Do you know who he is?”

“Not off the top of my head, no,” Sierra told her. “I met a lot of new people last night though. Why?”

“No reason,” Sam lied.

“Uh-huh.” Sierra chuckled. “All right. I’ll see you in a bit then.”

After that call was complete, Sam had headed for the shower. Now, an hour later, clad in her black silk robe, Sam had just finished meticulously applying her makeup while Logan showered.
