After the old country day fair was over a group of teenage boys and girls from Winters Haven started going to the ghost town to party all weekend. The two police officers was called out there several times. One weekend Lucas and Samatha was attacked and Lucas was beaten up extremely bad. Judge Harold Elliot dropped the felony charge of attempted murder and fined them one hundred dollars each for such a extremely assault which they should have spent time in jail.
That was just the beginning of the criminal acts. Widow Hudson's chicken coop was sat on fire. The Quiet Meadow fire department had just put that fire out when they recieved a call that the church's fellowship hall was on fire. Last summer there were incidences of vandaling by spray painting on abondon buildings but this seemed different somehow.
