They flew to Cartagena.

"I will wait while you check on some boats. If you don't find what you are looking for here, we will fly on to Santa Marta," Carmen told him.

Arflin found a thirty-foot sailboat he thought would be ideal. The name the boat was Lolita. The owner of the boat often sailed to Aruba. He told Arflin the boat was an easy one to sail.

"I never knew anything about sailing before I bought this boat. I hired an experienced sailor by the name of Campechee to kind of show me the ropes. After about six hours I pretty much had the hang of it," the man said.

He told Arflin where to get in touch with the man who taught him to sail. Arflin contacted the sailor and they agreed Saturday would be a good time to learn to sail.

Arflin bought the boat and paid for two months rental for the dock space. He asked Carmen if he could hire him and his plane for an all day outing on Saturday.

"That is not a problem. I can use the money," Carmen laughed.

When Arflin returned he bought a computer and had a phone installed in his apartment.

Arflin was at the airfield bright and early on Saturday morning. Carmen had already gassed the plane up and was ready to go when he got there. They got to Cartagena and Campechee was waiting for them. Carmen joined Arflin and Campechee and went along for the ride. In less than three hours Arflin was more than just a novice sailor. He caught on quick and was doing maneuvers that took some sailors weeks and even months to master. Arflin paid Campechee for the sailing lesson and asked Carmen to wait a few minutes while he went to a nearby store. He stocked the boat with can goods and bottled water. He had enough food stored aboard to last him two weeks at sea. He returned to Bogota later that afternoon.

When Arflin thought it was safe to go back on line, he started surfing chat rooms again looking for his next victim.

Now he had a new nickname. He introduced himself to everyone as Trapper. His profile said he was from Dallas, Texas in the USA. He was a freelance photographer on assignment in South America filming rare sights and animals for an outdoors magazine.

"Does anyone know any good places I might shoot some beautiful out door scenes?" He asked in one of the chat rooms.

"I was raised here and I know some beautiful places where you can get some great footage for your magazine," Cat Lady answered.
