Adahy's boss hired Leoti as a housekeeper. At first her job consisted of her doing the cleaning of the house, laundry, and cooking his dinner. Angeni wasn't quite sure when things changed. She just knew it had. Her mother was working longer hours. Leoti told Angeni that she was now helping him to redecorate his house and entertaining other businesses owners. Mr. Lackner bought Leoti several new dresses along with acessories such as jewerly, handbags, shoes, and even hats.

It was no time that he expanded his business and decided to move overseas. Of course he took Leoti with him. They sent Angeni money to take care of her siblings every month for awhile. The last money she got arrived with a picture of their wedding in Paris at the Effiel tower. She wrote to Angeni that since her last name wasn't Bear anymore that she couldn't spend her new husband's money taking care of them. She made it sound as though that money should last the children for years.

Angeni almost eighteen had five younger Siblings to take care of. Her three brothers and her baby sister. Koatohee (koa-to-hee meaning Chief corn Tassel) the oldest of the boys now was almost thirteen. If they on the reservation he would undergo a three day ritual to become a man. Jewish boys has a ritual that they do also to become men and can even work and practice in their services. Not much difference than the native indians. No one in the city would hire such a young boy
