Cough- Pause. Jayden started to back out of it and pretend like he was joking. He knew when he was not wanted. Jayden was about to say no that's alright but he decided not to. If the man didn't want to be bother with him; at least let the man be a man for once in his life and man of to his own actions. He was not going to help the man out with an excuse. There wasn't any excuse that could reconcile the fact that the man just didn't give a shit about him and he was not about to let the man off the hook. No matter how painful it was for him to say or for Jayden to hear; he would let the man tell him for himself that he couldn't come and live with him.

"Yea?" Jayden braced himself for the rejection he knew was coming. At least this would give him closure and he would never have to wonder about the man Jacob Ellis his father again.
