"Oh, you knew that was me?"

"No one else in this bull shit crazy ass game could have pulled off a shot like that but you." Aurora said closing the flap on her holster concealing the Glock within.

"Well thank you….I think," he said talking to his feet.

"You still didn't tell me….why did you stick around….you made the score and beat me and two other fools in this competition out of it. You should have gone underground after a job like that. Not come out in the open to hang with me," she said dropping her head a little along with her tone.

"It was a chance to see you. I wanted to see you. It's been a long time Aurora."

"DON"T… call me by my first name……address me as you did when you were nothing more than my partner," she said deepening her tone even more.

"I'm sorry, it's just when I was scanning the lobby for Bear, I saw you standing there in my scope. I knew from the damn website that you were part of this crazy game too and thought that maybe it was some sort of fate….I guess that I would get to see you again. It's been a long time."

"Yeah it's been a long time. I thought when I left the CIA that maybe just maybe you would follow," Aurora said taking a seat on the bed as he stood before her.

"You know I couldn't do that."

"Yeah I know…..you're like GI Joe in that way….all warrior."

"Well, what about you….?"

"What about me?"

"Well, you're no Barbie Doll yourself….you know."

"That I'm not," Aurora said with a less than a girlish chuckle as she leaned back on her elbows on the bed.

"So tell me, how you been?" he said taking a seat beside Aurora.

"Well you know…..the same old…..same old….ex-CIA officer moving back home to Miami becomes freelance gun for hire for pissed off wives with cheating bastard husbands. You know the usual."

"You were a top agent once…..what the hell are you doing fucking around with low life scumbags like that?"

"Well you know…..a girl has to make a living."

"Oh bullshit Aurora, you were a highly respected member of our Squad once and then when……."

"NO…no I don't talk about that," she said cutting him off in mid stride.

"I know it's painful but you gave up so much," he said reaching for her hand but the woman beside him only pulled away and sat up in the bed.

"Yeah you're God Damn right it's painful and that's why I don't talk about it…..like ever, got it," she said dragging herself forward on the mattress until she brought herself up upon her feet. Now standing before her former partner, she looked down over him. "So tell me about you?" she said trying to divert his attention away from herself. "I like the new look."
