Stryker reached the pay booth and confirmed its vacant demeanor. His companion stayed back a little looking around ready to open fire if she had to. With her eyes fixed on her partner and the toll shack, she barely missed the image of someone coming their way. With a slight turn of her head and a reach for her gun, Aurora saw that the man walking their way was just the booth attendant.

"Sorry, I really, really had to use the rest room," the short portly man said as the assassins slipped their weapons skillfully and discreetly into their hiding place and the man slipped back within his cubicle. "Sorry if I you were wondering if you could get your car out this morning," the man added as he shut the door to the little building and made ready for any cars trying to leave the parking structure.

"Yeah don't worry about it," Stryker said as he released the handle of his gun and reached for his car keys. Aurora followed suit and walked past the man as she and Stryker made their way for his Corvette.

"Nice couple," the little man said as he watched them walk out of sight. He took a seat upon the stool he placed in the booth with him and waited for their car to come up the ramp toward the exit. Form the corner of his eye, he caught sight of a figure coming his way down the ramp leading from the street. "Good morning!" he spouted with a smile and a waving gesture just as a stinging pain struck him between the eyes. The force of the strike sent him backward off his seat and into the glass behind.

Within his mind, a whirl of lost thoughts were floating without reason in a sea of confusion. Clutching his skull with one of his hands, he could feel something warm and wet running down his face, into his eyes and over his lips. Then all the pain went numb as the world all around him went black and his hearing went silent. As he slipped away into oblivion, a lone figure in black strolled past and entered the parking garage in a slow steady stride.
