They made their way down the stairs of the motel until they were street level. Their training taught them well, use stairs in case of an attack so they could retreat back up the steps if needed. This is opposed to an elevator where they would have been at the mercy of the steel box with only one means of escape. Stryker's Corvette lay two blocks away and the trip to the parking structure was filled with dread and anxiety. Their unease was built on the fact that at any moment their adversary could pounce upon them drawing fire. His weapon unlike anything the two had ever seen before with such a rate of fire, nothing they had in their arsenal could match its power.

"Stryker, I got a good look at that super gun of his," Aurora conveyed to her companion as they entered the mouth of the parking lot, working their way down the ramp into its underground depths.

"Yeah and?"

"It looked like a Mac-10…..only the thing had two…..two barrels."

"What?"

"Yeah, I got a good look at it just before he pulled the trigger. The damn thing had dual muzzles on it…..both firing in rapid succession."

"That's impossible…..there's no such thing," Stryker questioned her as they made their way into the darkened structure.

"I know…..but I saw what I saw. The thing had two muzzles mounted on it."

"You sure you didn't just see him holding two guns Aurora?"

"I saw one gun, two muzzles…..two magazines and two muzzle flashers. I never saw anything like it."

"That's because there is nothing like it."

"Then where the hell did he get something like that?"

"I don't know…..but I want one for myself," Stryker said ginning.

"Yeah…..you and me both." Aurora added as they reached the bottom of the entrance ramp.

Row after row of vehicles lined the dimly lit subterranean building as they walked by the booth where drivers were to hand in their ticket and pay the man within the little structure. An uncomfortable feeling fell over Aurora as she glimpsed the booth. It was vacant…..void of any souls that she could perceive.

"Something's wrong here," she said as they neared the pay stall.

"What?"

"Well for one thing, there's no one in the pay both."

"Yeah, so what?"

"Well you're from this city, when was the last time a parking garage was free?"

"You may have a point." Stryker replied withdrawing his weapon from under his leather and walking toward the little pay booth.

In the background, they could hear the shrieking wail of police sirens approaching the sight of the motel mayhem. Although it was only a mere two blocks from their position with so many in a city of millions, they could have been light years away from the cops investigating eyes. The men in blue would have placed all their attention on the shooting giving the couple some time to flee the surrounding area. They knew however that it was still only a matter of time before either the cops caught up to them since their images were caught on camera in both the motel and the subway station or worse, another encounter with The Reaper.
