The Andersons arrived exactly at one in the afternoon the next day and was greeted by Kim's old classmate and shown into the biggest.room called the Great Hall. Before Mr. Jonathan B. Astor the third arrived Kim and her father saw that bricks from the chimney had fallen down into the fireplace. While kim's father was finishing the inspection on the inside Mr. Astor was taking Kim around the outside of the manor to the locked wine cooler door which for some reason the door on the inside of the house had been closed off by a stone wall When they reached the stone steps going down to the outside door of the wine cooler was in desperate need of repair. so she told Mr. Astor that the fireplace and the steps outside needed to be the first things done and would need the construction division of the company.
She called Joel and he was free to come out immediately. Joel pulled out a ladder and climed down to the ground and was looking at the stones and told Mr. Astor that the stones on the ground was still in good shape and they could use them and rebuild the steps. when his crew got done with that project then they climed up to the roof and inspected the chimney and informed the Astors that it wouldn't take much to repair it also. but both projects needed at least three days in this weather to seal before they could be used .Mr. Astor just shrugged his shoulders and said no big hurry. Kim just smiled but she liked the way he did that and the smile on his face was charming and had a warnth about it.
