He pointed at Rowan extending his claws. "Have you no idea what happens to those who face their demons?"

Rowan shifted uncomfortably in his stance at the center of Dantalion's chamber. "Yea - betrayal. But all in the name of desire."

"Do any of you know what waits for us? The entire second heaven has renounced their faith. They have been swayed as I between good and evil. But that is another matter. We must use the secrets of the mage to re-seal the demons… Satan, Belial, Lucifer and Leviathan. They will be tested… and they must pass."

"Pass what?" Rowan asked.

"If you were studying the grimoire I left in your care, you would know," Dantalion grimaced.

"I studied the sacred magic of Abramelin the Mage. I scoured over every word."

"So then you know," Levi interrupted.

Dantalion, Rowan, and everyone standing in the chamber focused their attention at Levi, frantically running his hands through his trademark spiked black hair.

"Yea, I know that the demons have to go through the eighteen month purification. Only then can they summon you, the Guardian Angel, to sign the oath," Rowan's eyes met Dantalion's. "You're not really gonna sign the oath are you?" Rowan's eyes met Dantalion's.

"Of course not. They will never pass the trials we will make them face," Dantalion sneered.

"Yea, like what?" Rowan questioned.

"You see this?" Dantalion scraped the sharp metal protruding from his fingertip across the medallion Rowan wore around his neck.

"It's time to reunite the 'Succubus' with her long lost Angel of Death," Dantalion's eyes sparked with excitement. "First, I've got some unfinished business here at the Realm of Goetia."

"Yea… what's that?" Rowan barked.

Dantalion directed his attention at Levi, ignoring Rowan. He gestured for Levi to follow him out of the chamber. They paced the hall, past the archway of the first house.

"How are you coping my Lord?" Levi asked.

"I'm not," Dantalion confided.

Levi smiled at his friend. You were chosen… so much power… so many temptations."

"This curse is beginning to wear me down. Will I still be able to open the master sigil?"

"I believe so My Lord."

Dantalion left Levi standing inside the North gate of the Realm. Crouching, he clasped his claws tip to tip commanding fire from the blades of his fingertips to his palms, aligning them precisely onto the North face of the stone sigil, exiting the Realm.
