The one way conversation she heard ended, she could feel the wheelbarrow being lifted and she knew that they were headed back to where they started. The wheelbarrow was put back down and then she could hear more muffled talking. After a long break, she could feel the wheelbarrow once again being lifted and once more she was on the move. Having all that added weight on top of her was begging to take it's toll on her body. She was hot, and she truly felt as though she was suffocating. Trying to make any kind of a noice was useless, eventually the carbon monoxide from her breathing was going to make her sick and pass out. The wheelbarrow made a sharp turn and from the echo she was hearing, it sounded like they were in an alley.

As they were moving, Alannah heard a loud pop, sounding like gun fire and then two more pops rang out. She could hear what sounded like a fight and she was praying that Dominic had caught up to them. The wheelbarrow was knocked over with such a force, that Alannah went flying out, landing a foot away from the wheelbarrow itself. She hit the ground with such a force that it almost knocked her out, but instead left her head bleeding and the strong taste of blood in her mouth. Being blindfolded and wrapped up in the blanket, Alannah could not see what was going on, just as the fight ended a strong pair of hands, she could only assume were those of a male lifted her up and flung her over his shoulder. The smell of the man was not familiar, so she knew it was not Dominic, for he smelled of cheroots and Old Spice, this man smelled of booze and cheap aftershave.

The man who was now carrying her, started running, taking several tight turns until he finally came to a stop near a building that smelled very strongly of manure and old hay. Must be some sort of barn, Alannah thought to herself. As they entered the building Alannah could hear horses stomping on the ground and breathing heavy out of their nose, the sound of their disapproval at the sudden interruption of their peace. She was then tossed across the back of a horse and as her stomach slammed down on the neck bone of one of the horses and she cried out involuntarily. She could hear rustling around, as it appeared that the man was searching for gear to steal the horse as well. Within fifteen minutes they were off once again, this time on hoseback. Alannah's position on the horse was not conducive to her comfort and she was worried about her unborn child.
