I deliberated cutting and running, but then that would be foolish, he was only here for a moment.

So get a grip Adela.

"Our firm Brian and Meyer will be occupying an office on the nineteenth floor, I believe that's just above you."

I grip my desk for support. I am sure he is noticing my rigidness, the way my hands are painfully clasp at the edge, but if I let go I would surely faint.

"We are expanding and thought this to be the best location for business."

"Or"

But that still doesn't explain how he knew it was me. His hand still stretched out, but I can't persuade my arm to raise. Most, if not all of me is still in shock. I still couldn't believe he was here standing in front me, looking so beautiful. A man so far out of my reach.

He leans forward, smiling, touching my bare arm, his touch electrifying, sending ripples of current throughout my tiny frame.

"It would be nice to see what you look like out of these clothes." he whispers, looking directly in my eyes.

It took a while for his words to sink in, to take meaning. My mind scrambled like eggs with him so close. I could here my pulse throbbing in my ear. Mentally, I shook myself pulling away from his gasp, stepping back.
