I closed my eyes, trying not to think about the tall, green eye, greek god, with broad shoulders and a forceful lean body. Who works at Brian and Meyer law firm as a partner and high profile lawyer.

8:45am

I pushed through the revolving doors of the South building, impressively dressed in a cream sheath dress with matching heels. I wasn't a big fan of excessive hairstyles or makeup.

So I pulled my hair in a simple pony tail and kept my makeup to a minimum, just lip gloss, a natural shade of pink that matched my lips perfectly.

Jamie followed closely behind flashing our ID to the two security guards dressed in black. She offered to help me with my things, holding my handbag and laptop. She was sucking up, trying to make amends. This was a good start.

I smiled, waving at Katie another friendly receptionist seated at the front desk before making my way across the marble floors to the bank of elevators. I have been working here for over a month now but I am still left in awe at the amazing architecture.

Eighteen floors later Jamie is busy handing over my personal items before the aluminum doors closed.

"Have a great day" she mumbled, waving just as the doors closed.

I would try, shoving everything out of my mind, everything that had to do with Darryl Stone, focusing instead on moving up the corporate ladder.
