"It was your dream, not mine. I want to build things, not destroy them, especially the people involved. You never did understand that about me."

"Where will that get you in today's world? You need to be strong and tough and move people who get in your way of progress."

"What is your problem?" Caitlin said, coming from behind Scott and inching closer to the older MacKay. "You are a jerk who can't see what you have. Scott could have helped you succeed in a positive way. Then more people would respect you."

"Oh, you are so young and naïve, little lady. People do respect me."

"Then my definition of respect is different than yours."

He crossed his arms in front of his chest and planted his feet firmly on the ground. "I came here to finish this business deal," he said curtly. "What will it take to get you to sell?"

She cocked her head as her jade eyes turned stone-like. "It's not for sale. Men like you are all talk and no action. You think you can offer all the money in the world and people will willingly give up their dreams and livelihood. There's nothing wrong with hard work, real pride, and honesty. You should try it sometime."

Forrester stared at Caitlin, his manner even colder and more astute than when he had arrived. "You do realize this camp is a poor investment, don't you?" he said.

"It may not bring money, but the rewards are better than the riches."

Forrester laughed. "You are a poor business woman. No idea how to make it in the real world. Let me explain how business works in my world. When I want something, I get it."

"This is the way I do business," Caitlin said as she moved towards Forrester as if ready to plow through him. He started moving backwards until she had him backed up against the car. "I am not selling now or tomorrow or next year or ten years from now. This is my land and I have plans for it. I am sorry that you don't find this acceptable, but tough. Now, I am asking you only once to please leave my property before I have the police escort you off."

He spit on the ground and then looked at Scott. "I always thought we would make it big in this world. You could have had anything you wanted, but you never listened to your old man. What a pity. Now you'll have to work for everything you want."
