When the police chief heard who Audrey was he knew that he had seen a APB out on her for running away and so did Fred that he demanded the police chief that she be taken into custody. Audrey didn't want to cause her family any more grief so she went peacefully. Down the road aways she saw Buster following the police car and asked the chief if he would stop and let her tell Buster that he could go and make him go back.The chief backed the car up and turned it around . At first Audrey thought he was going to run Buster over and pleaded with him not to hurt Buster and then she heard the police chief Fred if you want my badge you can have it. He went back to the barn and walked in with Audrey which made Fred very mad that he yelled I'll have your badge and the chief was about to give it to him when Bailey said Chief and said something to him but Audrey couldn't hear due to the crowd was yelling at Fred. The police chief got up on the stage and hit the microphone really hard and the crowd even Fred got very quiet and the chief said Bailey would repeat what you just said so the crowd here can hear you . yes sir the fax from the Missouri judge just came in and Ben Hills has just be awarded custodyof his daughter Audrey Hills. The police chief looked at Fred and said If you want my badge you will have to run against me to get it because here the police chief is elected.
Susan came up to Audrey and asked her if it would be alright if she married Ben and became her stepmother and they both hugged each other.
When Audrey rides her bike to school Buster follows then he stays there till she gets out and follows her home. When Ben takes her to school in the truck Buster follows the truck and stays at school till school is over. One time she rode the school bus and he followed and a young man asked Audrey are you sure he's a horse and not a dog then raised both hands up and said I'm only joking. Audrey smiled and said yes he's a horse but he's also my best friend and one of my family. Everyone in town knows exactly who he is and talks about him following her but the site they talk most about was when he was going to go to jail with her.
