Last night’s stars and breeze along with yesterday’s sentiments, had been blown away by the wind. No one would be thinking about her, and there was no one else she could be thinking about.

Gu Xijiu smiled, looked up, and raised her glass. “Let us toast to the beautiful scenery!”

Lan Fei was determined, he was still waiting for her to sing.

Gu Xijiu had drunk a little too much. She did not refuse. She stood up and even danced while singing. “When would tomorrow come, I would like to ask the sky. Up in the kingdom of the sky, what year is this night? I want to travel back with the wind, but I am scared of being in the tall building, high and terribly cold…”

Her voice was as swift as the wind, lingering under the moonlight. Her smoke-colored dress fluttered in the wind, like a flower blooming on a leaf dancing at the end of the clouds.

Lan Fei was also tipsy. Staring at Gu Xijiu with what looked like a pair of cat’s eyes, his heart was intoxicated.

As long as he could be beside Gu Xijiu, he did not care about his position. He also did not care about how many more husbands she would have later on. He only hoped that he could hold a place in her heart.

His treatment of her was similar to how a fan would treat his idol. As long as she had him in her heart, he would not dare to think about having her all to himself.

The breeze blew some petals from among the bushes which swirled around Gu Xijiu and landed on her shirt and her hair. She sang and danced to her heart’s content, and he looked at her dreamily. No one realized that at a tree not too far away stood a person in white that resembled the moonlight. He had been standing there quietly.

He had wanted to go out there several times, but he suppressed himself. His face was paler than the moonlight, and his eyes were darker than the night.

Throughout his life she had been the person he cared about the most, not knowing that she would also be the person suffering from the greatest pain of his making. If he could, he would like to protect her under his feathers, and never let go. But he could not.

He had attempted every single way to make sure everything went well for her, and little did he know that under God’s wish, the spell did not work on her, and he only took one wrong step after another

He looked at the bracelet on his wrist. On the day when they got married, he never expected the bracelet to appear on both of their wrists. They were meant to be together.

He even thought that with the bracelet, his life would change for the better. Instead, things could not be worse! He was looking at her drinking wine like drinking water. Watching her dancing and singing under the moonlight.

That scene was not unfamiliar to him throughout the past eight years. Then, she was as carefree as a child, asking for his love like a child. What about right now?

Gu Xijiu was drunk! She did not use any spell to eradicate the alcohol from her body. Hence, her bad mood coupled with the speed at which she drank, she could feel the world swirling. She sat down against a huge tree, chatting with Lan Fei while yawning.

“Xijiu, you are drunk. Let us go. I will send you home.”

Lan Fei raised his armed to carry her.

Gu Xijiu pushed him away. “I am drunk. I would like to sleep, and I ask that you leave. If not, let us drink another 300 cups!” The two sentences was from a poem she somehow saw somewhere in a novel. She only blurted them out subconsciously.

Lan Fei was speechless again. Gu Xijiu had been tired these days. She often could not sleep throughout the night. Now that she was drunk, she slept so soundly.

Lan Fei called her a few times, and she did not respond and continued lying on the tree. Her cheeks were rosy, and her lips red. She had lost her strong aura while sleeping, making others want to hug her.

Lan Fei took a deep breath, pushed himself close to her, and moved his lips towards hers.
