“I’m not stealing from her or anyone in her family. I think we are going too far with this.” He said although he doubted she would agree with him.

“Don’t you think you are taking your boyfriend role too seriously? I saw you two leave the other day.” She said in a low tone.

“I just want to do the right thing.”

“The right thing? You are my boyfriend and she is an assignment.”

“This game is dangerous and I want out.” He licked his lips and shifted his gaze to the left. “She is way too smart to fall in your trap.”

“Are you interested in her?”

“I’m not, I only want to do the right thing. If I were you, I’d try and do the same.”

“You sound crazy, I can’t believe you want to do the right thing when our lives depend on this. What did she tell you to make you change your mind?”

“Nothing.”

“Then I guess we’ll both have to lose. Do you think she will want to date you if she knew who you truly are?”

“Is that a threat?”

“No, I’m trying to warn you that you will never get away with this either way.” She sipped her coffee.
