Experiencing the pain love can bring, Nikolas felt as though half of himself was missing when he wasn't with Anna. Being with her made him feel whole. Food had lost its appeal, so he skipped lunch after receiving the note from Anna. But now it was already dinnertime, and she was late. He ordered two martinis and waited. When a half hour had passed, the second martini gave him the courage he needed to knock on her door.

Anna appeared in a floor-length sheer white robe. She threw her arms around his neck, whispering, "Nikolas, oh Nikolas, I am so happy you came." She took in a deep breath, letting it out with a sigh.

"I am so glad to be here, Agape." Anna snuggled in his embrace. "Poli agapimeni, Anna, my true and only love," murmured

Nikolas, pressing his lips into her hair. He gently moved her hair to the side and brought her closer to him. His embrace became tighter as he uttered tender words of love.

Anna melted in his arms, clinging to his broad chest, while sensually making tiny circles with his hair. She could feel his blood rushing against her cheek and the beating of his heart, strong and loud. A sense of serene contentment overcame her as if her own turbulent heart had found a safe harbor.

Anna's warm breath against the curve of his neck triggered Nikolas's erotic desire to full sail, taking him to unfamiliar seas. Almost losing control, his mature nature directed him to lower the sails of his emotions to the masthead and seek an alternate route to Anna's protected cove. Just then, the ship's radio was playing "You brought a new kind of love to me."

Suddenly, the door opened and Giovanni burst in, singing at the top of his lungs, "Figaro, Figaro, Figaro. Figaro-o-o-h."

"Oh, I am sorry, Miss Anna. I thought you were out to dinner. I came to make your bed." He looked carefully at Anna and noticing Nikolas, he blurted out, "Good evening, sir!" Nikolas nodded and Giovanni muttered, "I'd better be going."

"We will be leaving soon. Come back in half an hour, Giovanni," replied Anna.

"Sorry, Miss," murmured Giovanni as he parted, giving Nikolas an envious look.

"Just give me a few minutes to get ready, love," Anna said in a velvet smooth voice. She leaned into him and gave him a quick peck as she went into her bedroom. Although Nikolas leafed through a travel magazine, he couldn't read a word. Instead, he was thinking what it would be like to meet her father and how he would react to him. "But why worry about it now?" he told himself.
