"Agatha, we should end the confession, and talk like old friends."

"I would like that, Father."

Elder Agatha got up, kissed the priest's hand, and sat next to him on a chair.

"Now I can talk to my old friend Anna. Just between us." The priest began pacing, using his hands like a maestro to make his point. "First of all, let's pray that Nikolas is alive, and comes to find you. Agatha would go up the hierarchy to the Archbishop himself for answers, no doubt about that. But Anna? Anna would follow her heart. She would choose life, and resurrection. The full love of Christ she believes in is not selfish. He understands and accepts whatever decision she makes, especially when there is true love involved.

Besides, she has served him well."

Anna listened to every word attentively, looking at the distant crucifix. If she could only shut out the sound of the holes being driven into Christ's hands and feet. She had a lot of work ahead of her. She knew that, but then, this was a new beginning.
