"You're staring like you haven't been to a New Year's eve party before." Nate said when he came to stand beside me and handed me a glass of wine. I slapped his chest with the back of my hand.
"Ow!" He groaned. "Has anyone told you that you're too violent for a lady?"
"Nope," I answered and sipped the wine. Carlos came over smiling, "so I take it the party's to your liking?" he asked.
"I like the theme so I'm cool with it.' I replied.
"Good now come with me. I wanna introduce you to the rest of our friends and family." He held my hand and dragged me. I almost fell in my steps due to the abrupt movement. Nate chuckled and gave me a wave when I looked back to him.
"Hey guys," Carlos greeted a group of people sitting together in a circle. They responded with hey or what's up dude.
"Meet Dawn, a new friend of mine." he introduced me to the group. Stunned, I had to correct his statement. "Woah, woah, stop right there. There's no way we're friends." I turned to face the group, "we only just meet a few minutes ago." A few of them snickered and Carlos pouted.
