We finally found a parking space as we have searched for once for hours. We got out the car after parking and joined the long line of people waiting to get in at the club's entrance. When it got to our turn, I and Alex showed the bouncer our ID's. He took them from us and looked at it closely as if trying to discover a hidden treasure. " This is fake. " He said in a deadpan manner. I raised my eyebrow in a questioning manner. "What do you mean by it's fake? Are you shitting me right now or do you want me to bring my fucking birth certificate to certify that the date of birth tallys with the one in there?"

He looked at me with a stoic expression and said " excuse me miss, I know a fake ID when I see one. I'm sorry you have to step out the line."

"Oh no,we won't. Are you trying to embarass us? This isn't fake so you better look at that again with your clear eyes or so help me God, I will sure as hell sue you." He looked at me angrily and this is where I get intimidated. I mean when someone who is thrice your size looks at you like he's seconds away from strangling you, you get scared right?

"Are you trying to teach me my job?" I turned back to look at Alex and saw that her fear is starting to become visible on her face. I gave a swift shake of my head. She immediately understood and calmed herself down. Signing out loud, I looked at the bouncer, seeing that the whole people in the club's surrounding were now watching us.

"No sir, we aren't teaching you anything. It's just that it's my friend's birthday tonight and she doesn't want to ruin it with a fight, so could you kindly look at it again and let us in?" she said in a giving up/pleading tone.

He looked at it again "Sorry for the trouble ladies." He said, giving us back our ID's and letting us in. When we've got a good distance away from him, we both let out a sign of relief.

"That was so close. How did he know that it was fake?" I asked, looking at Alex.

"How am I supposed to know that? All I know is I'm never stepping foot in Soho whenever he is on duty."

"Me too." I answered. Our ID's were fake. Mine stated that I was 22 when I only just turned 19 today and that of Alex states that she was 23 and she actually is 20. So it baffled me how he found out since we've never been caught and this wasn't our first time in Soho.
