Chapter 426: Pure-blooded Descendant of the Mother Star

There were circular pits everywhere on the moon, Chu Feng's expression was grave as he walked into the ruins because there was a feeling of fear and trepidation in the air.

This definitely wasn't a good place!

Perhaps this journey might not be a smooth sailing. There were layer upon layer of perils, and he felt unconfident in his heart about the rest of the journey.

The ruins were huge with an entire array of palace halls and numerous jade towers. But now, they had been reduced to rubble, broken ramparts, and fragmented walls. Palaces became shattered rocks, jade buildings became debris, and walls were all ruined, a testimony of its tragic past.

There really was a palace on the moon in the past, in which dwelled an entity whose evolutionary level was extremely high. Could it be the Moon Palace?

As he walked deeper, the building materials became more astonishing—there were incomparably large jade stones everywhere and metal tiles still shining with a slightly dim luster.

Not long afterwards, Chu Feng saw a vigorous big tree in the distance. There were cracks running through the old bark of its trunk, like opened dragon scales. However, it had dried out entirely and was already dead.

According to legend, there was a Moon Palace on the moon wherein lived Chang'e, the Jade Rabbit, and a moon laurel tree.

Although Chu Feng was moved, he wasn't shocked. He had even seen the palace, so what was so strange about seeing a large tree?

"Is that the moon laurel tree?" Chu Feng intended to approach and pick some twigs because they might be useful for refining medicine.

Even though it died years ago, and its divinity had all but leaked out, it was still a former divine tree in the end.

Presently, it was still quite far from the tree.

"Hmm?!" Chu Feng felt extremely uneasy here because he sensed an intense baleful intent almost capable of ripping apart the heaven and earth. It made his blood churn and almost caused his body to collapse into pieces.

It was all deathly still and calm a moment ago. How did it become so dreadful after approaching this area?

There were copper palaces and copper towers here, and even though they had broken apart, the terrain was still higher and more majestic than the other areas. There was also a kind of chilliness amidst the ancient vicissitude.

As Chu Feng bypassed the series of copper buildings, his flesh was almost cut apart—the ineffable baleful intent became ever more intense and terrifying.

He continued forward and gradually approached the moon laurel tree. It was a full 1500 meters tall. And at this moment, he finally saw what else there was—the source of the baleful intent!

Chu Feng was abnormally shaken—he simply couldn't believe what he saw. His eyes kept twitching with goosebumps all over his body and all his hair stood on end.

His throat was dry and he felt parched inside his body, but chills kept running down his spine. All of this was caused by the scene he saw right ahead of him.

Not far from the moon laurel tree, there were several stone pillars towering towards the sky. They were thick, sharp, and greatly resembled iron awls.

There, he saw an enormous white tiger—its size was comparable to that of a mountain and almost taller than the moon laurel tree. Its body was pierced through by several stone pillars and drenched in blood.

The tall and sharp stone pillars pierced through the mountain-like white tiger's body and were exposed in the air, drenched in scarlet blood.

What an enormous tiger. Moreover, it was white in color. Just what level of an entity was this?!

He found no jade rabbit on the moon, but instead came across a terrifying giant tiger. This truly made one's heart tremble.

The tiger's blood hadn't dried up and was still bright red to this day. Additionally, it was emanating prismatic lights akin to red arcs of interweaving electricity from the powerful energy particles contained within.

That baleful intent was coming from this tiger and it was so strong that it seemed to be able to shatter the heaven and earth. Even the air was trembling from it—its power was truly unimaginable.

More importantly, Chu Feng sensed that this white tiger, including the stone pillars, was enveloped by a mysterious domain.

So much that he could clearly see the domain runes emerging from time to time. There was a world-shaking domain law here suppressing the aura emanating from this tiger and obstructing its blood energy from leaking out.

It was still able to exude such a baleful intent despite being enshrouded by a peerless domain. This truly made one restless as if the flesh were about to be ripped apart.

How terrifying a creature was this? Were it not contained within the special domain, Chu Feng suspected that an ordinary evolver would immediately be disintegrated under its aura, destroyed in both form and spirit.

This was overwhelming—the creature was unimaginably powerful!

Chu Feng went around the tremendous tiger and observed. Even while standing outside the field, he could still feel the extreme power of this creature.

Its blood, to this day, was still lustrous and bright red. It was emanating a divine glow and contained incomparable amounts of energy within.

"How could that be?"

Chu Feng was suddenly shocked to find that there were still strands of mist around the white tiger's nose and mouth. Although feebly, it was still breathing and hadn't died completely.

This made his hair stand on end. This mysterious vicious tiger was, at the very least, from an ancient era. So many years had passed by, and yet it was still alive after being penetrated by 49 thick and sharp stone pillars?!

Chu Feng was shocked out of his wits. There was actually a tiger nailed to a crater on the moon. Moreover, it was drenched in blood but still possessed vitality.

His mind was full of doubts—who had nailed this terrifying tiger to this place? Which faction did it belong to? There was simply no way to tell whether it was good or bad.

In the end, Chu Feng snapped some dried twigs from the laurel tree and put them away. However, he dared not to open the domain and have designs on the tiger's blood.

He halted for quite some time here, and then set out, once again, towards the deeper regions.

Along the way, he saw several relief sculptures, describing certain stories from the past. There was a racial war and the starry skies were ensanguined with migrant blood. Men, women, elders, and children perished continuously in the many scenes of the past. It was indeed a sad melody.

"Earth was ranked eleventh at the time, but a great war broke out after its extreme glory and thereafter was eternal darkness. This was the war back then!"

Chu Feng was greatly touched by those scenes, his emotions fluctuating wildly.

He sometimes clenched his fists and sometimes growled, unable to control his emotions. That was because he saw, in those imagines, children, seven or eight years of age, fighting heroically as they bled. In the end, they were tragically obliterated and their tender lives were reaped.

He even saw infants being stabbed through with a lance and flung away by the extraterrestrials, accompanied by a shower of blood.

"Is this how it ended back then? The extraterrestrial robbers were too cold-blooded and abominable. All of them should be put to death!" muttered Chu Feng.

"You temporarily meet the criteria as you were sympathizing with an entity from the mother star. Please accept the blood test." An abrupt voice rang out. It embodied no emotion and even felt a bit cold.

Chu Feng was immediately alerted and looked around suspiciously. Who was speaking? At the same time, he was somewhat puzzled about his intense emotional fluctuations from moments ago.

Normally, he would've been indignant after seeing these scenes but would likely not have gone out of control like this.

His pupil suddenly constricted as he saw a lance emerge from the relief sculpture on the boulder and was aimed at him.

He rapidly backed up and evaded it.

"Please accept the blood test." The emotionless voice echoed once more. It was being emitted from a dilapidated energy pagoda which produced a long spear and thrust towards Chu Feng.

At this moment, the dilapidated energy pagoda started to glow brilliantly. Under its suppression, Chu Feng was actually locked in place and completely immobilized.

Then, with a pfft, the lance penetrated through his body, causing him unbearable pain and fresh blood to spray out in all directions.

Chu Feng let out a loud cry and struggled fiercely—he had actually encountered a mishap.

The energy pagoda came swiftly and left just as fast. It flew up with the lance in tow, emitting a gentle radiance as if it were analyzing Chu Feng's blood.

"A pure-blooded descendant of the mother star." The cold, emotionless voice resounded once more.

In fact, it is a spiritual wave.

"Who are you?" Chu Feng covered the wound with his hand. He had powerful regenerative abilities after severing the shackle on his heart. Presently, the bleeding had already stopped and his wound was closing up and healing.

"Detector." The energy pagoda responded mechanically.

Then, it sent out spiritual waves again and said, "You are an entity from the mother star, and you sympathize with the mother star. You have met the criteria. Do you wish to try accepting the inheritance?"

Chu Feng was dumbfounded after hearing this. It was actually… like this!

This wasn't his first time seeing an energy pagoda. He had some suspicions since a while ago because they resembled cutting-edge technology. At this point, it seemed that they were more than just tools for evolution.

"Did you really have to stab me with a lance just to perform a blood test?!" Chu Feng shouted after he understood the situation. It was too damn violent!

The icy voice came out and said, "I didn't think that you were so weak. Usually, the entities that come for blood tests have tenacious bodies. Only a sharp spear would be able to pierce through their skin and obtain blood."

After listening to what it said, Chu Feng literally wanted to smash this broken energy pagoda!

But he really couldn't use violence against this fellow because, just now, it had disabled and completely immobilized Chu Feng. He just couldn't deal with it.

Chu Feng said, "Since I've met the criteria, give me the inheritance then!"

"Keep walking inside. You will naturally obtain it if you are agreeable all-round." The mechanical spiritual waves were emitted from the energy pagoda.

Afterwards, it disappeared into the relief sculpture on the boulder.

"Hey, are you not the heritage?" Chu Feng shouted. In his understanding, energy pagodas represented inheritance and contained all kinds of secret books.

"I'm already broken and can only take responsibility for blood tests." After saying this, it disappeared.

Swoosh!

At last, when he was about to leave, a light shot out from a relief sculpture and fell on Chu Feng, whereupon his wounds recovered completely in an instant.

Chu Feng revealed an odd expression. He said nothing more and walked forth with large strides.

It was clear and cold on the moon.

Apparently, that place where Chu Feng had lingered on was a secret place.

He kept walking inside. The ruins lessened, and he gradually saw some intact buildings. At last, he entered a palace.

It wasn't cast from copper, nor was it built of jade. It was fairly ordinary and made of greyish stony materials that were dark and lusterless.

After entering, Chu Feng experienced just how minute myriad things were in the long river of time, and that even planets would turn to ash as the years went by. This was was fairly special.

Chu Feng raised his head and gazed at the sky above the palace. It was dusky at first, but now it transformed into a hazy sea of stars. It seemed as if he had arrived in the starry skies.

"If we lose the war, our race will die..."

Chu Feng heard voices and even began to see images. It was happening on the indistinct starry sky above the palace.

Then he saw many women, children, the sick, and the elderly trying to escape the mother star. Behind them was a powerful evolver, with blood all over his body, covering their rear.

Undoubtedly, this was a tragic scene and it was even more realistic than the relief sculptures he had seen earlier.

A five or six-year-old girl cried, "Brother, don't you die, I want you to live, stay with me..."

She stretched her hand wanting to reach for something. Her eyes were full of tears, and she was crying miserably.

There was a war in the distance, and those holding the rear were falling one after another. The one whom the little girl was calling elder brother wasn't very old. He was stabbed through by a spear and drenched in blood. In the end, he turned back with great effort to glance at his sister. His mouth opened as if he wanted to say something, but his mouth was full of blood.

Pfft!

At the moment, his head was chopped off!

"Brother!" The little girl burst into tears.

This was just one of the scenes. Those fleeing the mother star fled all the way, leaving behind corpses one after another. The dead and injured were virtually countless. It was too bitter a battle.

"All of you, leave, I'll stay!" An old man with a body that was already badly damaged shouted loudly. He turned to face the enemy in place of the youths, his body gradually burning as he initiated a final battle!
