When the others had raised their goblets, Lu Li had made a decision. He didn’t just give Leng Wuxin a casual glance. Instead, his looks lingered around her before he picked up his goblet. He nodded to Leng Wushang and the others while said, “Thank you, Young Master Wushang. Thank you all.”

Finishing his wine, Lu Li turned to Leng Wuxin again and asked, “Young Master Wushang, who is she?”

Leng Wushang pointed to Leng Wuxin and replied with a smile, “This is my big sister, Leng Wuxin.”

Lu Li reached out, and the maid kneeling next to him filled his goblet instantly. Raising his goblet, he looked at Leng Wuxin and said, “I propose a toast to Leng Wuxin. Young Lady Wuxin, you are stunning.”

Leng Wuxin dressed in a less exposed way today. She had on a black dress with half of her hair combed to a bun and half down, which gave her a graceful and elegant look. She had on a pair of onyx earrings. Her skin was white and soft, which was accentuated by her black dress. She looked amazing.

Not knowing what Lu Li was up to, Leng Wuxin had to pretend that Lu Li was a stranger. She stood up in a reserved manner, took a sip of her wine and all the while didn’t forget to say, “Young Master Lu, thank you.”

Leng Wushang then went on to introduce others to Lu Li. Some might look down on Lu Li but they all acted with manners.

“They are all really sophisticated. Those are the real disciples from big families.”

Lu Li said to himself. He was sure that everyone here, except for Leng Wuxin, despised him. That being said, he didn’t feel left out or disliked. Instead, everyone seemed warm to him. All were acting gently and with hospitality.

After the round of introduction, Lu Li got down to business. He asked Leng Wushang a seemingly casual question, “Young Master Wushang, I heard that you have a young master called Leng Wuxue. Where is he today?”

Lu Li’s words brought a coldness to the room. The young masters and young ladies who were pretending to be polite appeared to be irritated at the moment.

Not sensible…

This was how they all thought of Lu Li. Leng Family had greeted Lu Li with an above-standard welcome. The intention couldn’t be clearer. They hoped to bury the hatchet, and that the resentment between Lu Li and Leng Wuxue could be written off.

Why would Lu Li bring this up after he agreed to join in the banquet and already drank with others? Why would he do this to hurt their feelings? Was he trying to make everyone embarrassed?

If Lu Li didn’t want to settle the resentment, then he shouldn’t come in and drink. He could have picked up a fight at the plaza. In that case, it wouldn’t be the young masters and young ladies to be here to deal with Lu Li. It would be the patriarchs.

Leng Wushang didn’t reply. He lowered his head and poured his own wine, evidently to push down his unhappy feeling. When he looked back up again, he had put back on his smile. He said, “I heard that Wuxue has offended you in the Prison of Gold? He is grounded by my Uncle Tian’ao. Young Master Lu, I will apologize to you on behalf of Wuxue for whatever he has done.”

Leng Wushang had given Lu Li enough respect and his words and manners were so appropriate that even Lu Li admired him. He smiled warmly and said, “This is unnecessary. There is nothing serious between me and Young Master Wuxue. Actually, I have my own fault. I am here to apologize to him.”

Lu Li’s words relived Leng Wushang and all the others. To them, Lu Li seemed sensible again. Not only didn’t he pursue the matter, he actually showed generosity.

Big families valued their dignity. When they were treated with respect, they would return the favor. Lu Li’s manner changed Leng Wushang and the other’s attitude toward him. Many came to toast to him more than friendlier than ever.

After several rounds of drinks, Leng Wushang casually took out the Token of the Blood Emperor from his ring and had a maid to give it to Lu Li. He said, “Young Master Lu, your master is famous at the Central Imperial Universe 1000 years ago, and he is regarded as one of the three bloody geniuses of the Central Imperial Universe. There are still legends of your master at the Central Imperial Universe. Well… Is your master still cultivating in the Purgatory of Primordial Chaos? If so, we should pay him a visit to show our respect.”

“Here we go!”

Lu Li sneered. Leng Wushang and the rest had been pretending for a long time, and finally, they were revealing their true intention. He had already prepared for questions about the Blood Emperor and had long since known the Leng Family would try to verify his identity. If there were any inconsistencies in his answer, he would be murdered on the spot.

Lu Li had prepared for matters related to the Blood Emperor, so he answered with no hesitation. Picking up his goblet, he said in a sorrowful tone, “That old man has gone to the Prison of Soul to cultivate. I don’t even know if I can have the chance to see my master again in this lifetime. If you want to meet him, I don’t think there is a big chance. My master said that either he made it or he died…”

“Swish, swish, swish~”

Those present changed their expressions. Lu Li sensed two people checking him with psychic power. His language had startled them all.

As disciples of a dynasty at the Central Imperial Universe, they were all familiar with the Purgatory of Primordial Chaos. All of them had once gone to the Purgatory of Primordial Chaos to train themselves. They did it regularly, not occasionally.

They were no strangers to the Purgatory of Primordial Chaos, and, of course, they understood how terrifying it could be. Fire, wood, earth, water, gold, ice, wind, darkness, soul, and thunder. For the disciples, the first five were not dangerous. However, for the other five, each was riskier than the one before.

They were all at the Human Sovereign Realm, but it was still difficult for them to stay long in the Prison of Ice. One careless move could lead to their deaths. For Earth Immortal Realm warriors, they could explore the Prison of Wind, but they were still afraid to linger at the Prison of Darkness.

As for those that could enter the Prison of Soul, those were the peerless powerhouses. Very few senior warriors of the Leng Family had the ability to explore the Prison of Soul.

Lu Li said that his master would swim or sink in the Prison of Soul. In other words—Blood Emperor was aiming for fighting his way through the Prison of Soul and go to the Prison of Thunder!

Prison of Thunder…

That was the 10th level of the Purgatory of Primordial Chaos. If he could make it pass the Prison of Thunder, he would be able to become an immortal and ascend to the heavens.

If the Blood Emperor could make it to the Prison of Thunder, then his ability would reach a horrifying stage. The path to becoming a god would open up to him.

Lu Li was satisfied with the reaction. This was what he was expecting. He wanted to borrow the Blood Emperor’s name to scare the Leng Family, which would make his mission much easier to accomplish.

Leng Wushang and the others took a long time to come back to their senses. They finally calmed down. Leng Wushang poured Lu Li some wine himself and said, “Young Master Lu, here is to your master. Let us hope that he can achieve immediate victory and come back with glory.”

“Hmm~”

Lu Li shrugged and said, “I’d rather he doesn’t come back. I want to enjoy myself at the Central Imperial Universe. There is nothing good when I was with him. He never took care of me since I was a kid. Now, he has gone toward his own death and left me alone. I don’t care about him. Let’s drink.”

With that said, Lu Li picked up the goblet and drank ahead. On his face, there was an appropriate touch of sadness. Leng Wuxin rolled her eyes at him secretly.

If she hadn’t known Lu Li, she would have been fooled by his act. She would really think that Lu Li was an orphan that was adopted by the Blood Emperor, that the Blood Emperor had gone to the Prison of Soul, and that Lu Li had come to the Central Imperial Universe because of isolation and helplessness…

Leng Wushang was only a little bit surprised at Lu Li’s words but didn’t feel it was strange. The Blood Emperor was odd himself. It was understandable that his apprentice was the same kind.

The Blood Emperor never took care of Lu Li? If so… it would explain why Lu Li’s realm was so low.

Of course!

Leng Family’s disciples were not thick headed. Leng Wushang gave a seemingly innocent glance to a beautiful young lady next to Leng Wuxin.

That pretty lady looked at Lu Li and asked curiously, “Young Master Lu, I heard that the Blood Emperor has three divine skills that are shocking and amazing. I don’t know how many Young Master Lu has learned. Can you show me some?”

The test of Leng Family was upon Lu Li.
