Chapter 386: Basic Knowledge of Profound Meaning

Felt something?

Yu Huashen didn't understand. What could Lu Li get from a tornado? On the other hand, Ming Yu was deep in thoughts. He noticed Lu Li was absent-minded just now which showed that he felt something. Granted, Ming Yu could not tell what Lu Li could take out from the tornado, but the fact that Lu Li was inspired was good in itself.

Ming Yu signaled to Yu Huashen to turn the Iron-armored Ship back and chase after the tornado.

Soon, they were at the sea again. It was raining heavier and heavier. Yu Huashen wanted to activate the shield but Lu Li waved no. Yu Huashen and Ming Yu stopped and motionlessly stood by him.

The wind was raging on and rain was pouring down. Lightning flashed and thunder rumbled as if there were white serpents tearing up the sky. In the distance, a black dragon-like tornado swirled up the waters and the clouds, moving from side to side.

It was raining even heavier now. Lu Li was drenched but he seemed to not notice. He gazed into the tornado, and after a moment, he suddenly shouted, "Get me closer!"

"But…"

Yu Huashen frowned. The tornado was a fierce one. If they were sucked in, they could be torn into pieces by the force. Yu Huashen and Ming Yu might be able to escape, but Lu Li was not as strong. Once he was sucked in, the consequences could be grave.

Seeing that Yu Huashen didn't do as he ordered, Lu Li turned to him and said coldly, "Yu Huashen, from now on, if you have any doubt of my orders, you can get lost right away. I don't need you with me."

"Yes!"

Yu Huashen trembled under the glance of Lu Li. He immediately took control of the Iron-armored Ship and drove it closer to the tornado.

"Splash, splash, splash~"

"Boom, boom, boom~"

Raindrops made a crisp sound on the Iron-armored Ship. Tides rushed to the sky and then smashed down with a booming sound.

Thirty miles, 15 miles, 10 miles!

As they moved closer to the tornado, the wind grew stronger. They couldn't stand still in the wind. Yu Huashen slowed the Iron-armored Ship down but he didn't stop it as Lu Li hadn't given the order.

"Buzzing~"

All of a sudden, with a glow from his abdomen, Lu Li released his silver Fate Wheel and then jumped onto it. He flew away into the distance.

"Young Master!"

Yu Huashen yelled out of fear but Ming Yu stopped him. Ming Yu stared at Lu Li who was flying in the storm and said, "Don't disturb him. I think he has gained some basic knowledge of a Profound Meaning. Young Master is not so stupid as to go to the center of the tornado. Stay here and I will go after him."

"Basic knowledge of a Profound Meaning?"

Yu Huashen was stunned. If Lu Li could understand basic knowledge of a Profound Meaning, he could acquire the complete mastery of the Profound Meaning which was the most powerful strength in the universe. How could Lu Li already achieve this when he was merely at the Fate Wheel Realm?

"Whoosh~"

Lu Li took control of the Fate Wheel and flew forward in the storm. He was fast but he was clever enough to stay clear of the center of the tornado. He circled around on the outside, leaving a distance of about 10 miles, which could guarantee his safety.

"Boom, boom, boom~"

Lighting flashed and thunder roared. Lu Li was only faintly visible now. He flew in the storm at the top of his speed like a seagull. Underneath his feet, a silver dragon quickly moved about on his silver Fate Wheel which added a sense of strangeness to the scene.

Ming Yu silently followed Lu Li. He kept a distance of about half a mile between them so as not to disturb Lu Li.

One hour had passed, two hours... six hours!

Lu Li was still chasing after the tornado as if he could not feel tired at all. The storm was still wreaking havoc and tides were raging.

Eight hours, 12 hours!

It was getting brighter as the tornado dispersed. Stormed gradually died down. Lu Li flew for a long time and he was drenched. His eyebrows were knitted together. He controlled the Fate Wheel to suspend in midair and he appeared to be vexed.

After a while, he shook his head, vaporized water on his body using Xuan Energ,y and flew back to the Iron-armored Ship in disappointment.

Ming Yu silently went after him as he was not a man fond of talking. He could already tell what happened from Lu Li's expressions. As soon as Lu Li came back, Yu Huashen asked with concern, "Young Master, how are you doing? Have you learned anything?"

"Yes!"

Lu Li answered with a sigh, "But I was disturbed by that thunder. Otherwise, I could have been more enlightened. Even though I cannot tell for sure what it is, but I think it's going to be something awesome. Such a pity…"

Yu Huashen sighed as well but he didn't know how to comfort Lu Li. Ming Yu said, "Don't be disappointed, Young Master. You can try it next time. Mastering a Profound Meaning cannot be achieved in one go. There is a place at the Thousand-island Lake with a lot of tornados. You can pay that place a visit in the future."

"Alright!"

It didn't work this time, but he could always look for other opportunities. He would make the discovery sooner or later as long as he could locate that feeling again.

"I'll go and see if I can think of something."

Lu Li went back to his cabin. He asked Yu Huashen and Ming Yu to be in charge of the rest of the trip while he tried to think back.

Lu Li went into closed-door cultivation and the Iron-armored Ship flew towards the Flowing Cloud City.

The rest of the trip was peaceful. Nothing worth noting happened. After 10 days, they arrived at the Flowing Cloud Region.

Ming Yu woke Lu Li and Lu Feixue up after he confirmed their whereabouts in a small city.

Lu Li came out, took a look at the city down below and the map. He nodded and said, "We are at the Flowing Cloud Region now. Get ready and we will go into the city."

Ming Yu and Yu Huashen disguised themselves with the Illusion Masks and so did Lu Li. But they only had three of those masks so Lu Feixue had to put on the Ghost Mask. Lu Li said he would buy her another one later.

They quietly got off from the ship after they preparing for some time. They put away the Iron-armored Ship and went into the county. There were no powerful warriors in the county. Since Lu Li and the others appeared to be men of power, they were not stopped or questioned. They handed in the Xuan Crystals and teleported away.

This time, they reached a Prefectural City where Lu Li asked Yu Huashen to buy another Illusion Mask upon arrival. The city had a large chamber of commerce where Yu Huashen made the purchase at ease.

Teleportation again!

After Lu Li reached the Fate Wheel Realm, his Soul Pond was times larger and his soul was stronger. He didn't feel dizzy during the teleportation now, nor did he have the urge to vomit.

Teleportation was fast. They didn't make any stop. They would go from one Teleportation Formation to the next so they could reach the northern Central Plains as fast as they could.

That being said, teleportation required some time, especially the ones between region cities. Such long distance would take at least an hour and sometimes two hours.

Lu Feixue, Yu Huashen, and Ming Yu were at the Noble Lord Realm. Their souls were strong enough to endure several days of teleportation. On the other hand, Lu Li felt dizzy after two days and a night's teleportation.

They found a tavern to take some rest for a couple of hours. After they woke up, they resumed teleportation. Great Patriarch had given them tens of billions of Xuan Crystals so Lu Li spent at will. Money could be always be earned afterwards.

Lu Li and Lu Feixue were disciples of a Royal Family so if they had special teleportation tokens, the fees would be much lower. Too bad Lu Li was not given such a token and Lu Feixue didn't have one since she was married.

Constant teleportation carried them to the northern Central Plains after only seven or eight days. They would be at the Cloud City in another four or five days.

"Finally, I am going back to the Northern Desert!"

Lu Li was longing for this moment. He wondered how Bai Qiuxue, Bai Xiashuang, Zi Lian, Liu Yi, and Ye Cha were doing.
