Spring turned into fall and the women of the family drove about halfway down the state to the farmers market and bought plenty of peaches and canned them and stored them in the basement while Allie's father and grandfather stayed home and watched the baseball game. They repeat the process again two weeks later when the last of the peaches was in harvest. This time they also got apples and nuts. When they got home Allie's grandma made a peach pie and apple pie while Allie's mother canned the peaches and apples while grilling on the outdoor deck and both Allie's father and grandfather was watching pre season football game.They invited their next door neighbor over for dinner and had to have it outdoors because there was a new rule no more than ten could gather together without special permission except for sports game.so a lot of family get togethers was schedule at football games.
Allie's parents moved their picnic table next to the fence and the neighbors moved theirs next to their fence. The women worked together to spilt up the meats, vegie dishes, and one pie each. They agreed not to speak politics so nobody could get into trouble. During their conversation the neighbot had a call from his elderly parents that they was being evicted out of their senior living apartment and it could either be a volunteer removal or mandatory removal. He told them that they could live with them. It was just a matter of time before Allie's drandparents wolud be told the same thing
