Just as she was about to knock, the door flew open, and Sierra came face to face with the sexiest man she had ever laid eyes on. You would think by now she would have gotten used to looking at him, and his striking appearance wouldn’t still give her the chills.

“Bear. Sit.” Luke barked, and Sierra’s eyes were immediately drawn to the large black dog now heeling at Luke’s side. The same dog that had been at Sam’s.

“I take it he belongs to you.” Sierra smiled down at Bear, pushing her hand forward hesitantly. Though the animal had taken kindly to her the last time she had been around him, she didn’t know how he would react around his owner.

“That he does.” Luke stated and took her other hand, pulling her inside the house to close the door behind her. “Hope you’re hungry.”

Sierra looked up into Luke’s eyes, and for the first time, she didn’t see the hunger that she was used to seeing. Instead she saw… confusion. “I’m starving.” She conceded, suddenly worried about his reasons for inviting her over.

Allowing Luke to lead her further into the house, Bear’s nails clicked on the hardwood floors as he followed. Two steps into the immaculate, top of the line kitchen, she was assaulted by delicious smells.

“You cook?” She didn’t mean to sound skeptical, but Luke didn’t seem like the type of guy who dabbled in gourmet cooking.

“It’s not one of my favorite things, but yes, I can get by.” Luke told her, and for a brief second, she caught the familiar gleam in his eye.

“Can I do anything to help?” A sudden need to keep busy overcame her.

“You can set the table.” Luke stated as he turned his back on her, returning to the stove to stir something.

Sierra couldn’t tear her eyes from the man. Although she sensed something was off, he was still a sight to see. Wearing only a pair of those sexy ass jeans that hugged his hips and ass nicely, she was offered a stunning view of Luke’s naked back. The corded muscles moved gracefully as he worked, which she admired immensely, especially the intricate tattoo that wound from his upper arm and then over his back.

She was suddenly starving, and it had nothing to do with the glorious smell of food emanating from the pan Luke was stirring.

“You keep looking at me like that, and we might not even make it through dinner.” Luke growled as he turned and faced her.

Sierra could handle that. Based on the fact that her mouth watered at the mere sight of him and a consistent ache had taken up residence between her thighs, she wondered if she would even be able to make it through the meal.

A low growl broke the sudden silence, and when Sierra instinctively looked down to see where Bear was, she was confused to see him lying in a corner of the room, eyes closed, snoozing as if he didn’t have a care in the world. If the growl hadn’t come from Bear, then that meant…

Before she could think better of it, Luke lifted her in his arms and planted her butt on the granite countertop, easing himself between her legs. When he cupped her jaw, turning her head so she was staring directly into those sexy brown green eyes, she managed a sharp intake of breath. Then his mouth was on hers, and her hands were all over his gloriously exposed skin. When he broke the kiss, Sierra let her mouth linger, trailing kisses down his neck, over his shoulder until she could outline the hot as hell tattoo on his left arm.

She had seen the tattoo before, but she had never paid much attention to it, always having been too distracted by other things. Sierra traced the outline with her tongue, following the muscular curve of his shoulder, then slowly trailed down his chest until her tongue found his nipple. Using her teeth, she nibbled and licked until it hardened, spurred on by his groans and the way he held her head against his chest. At this rate, they definitely were going to miss dinner.

Luke reached behind him and flipped off the stove burner, his body burning as hot as the flame he had just extinguished. When he’d asked Sierra to dinner, he fully intended to spend some time talking, but the sight of her when she walked in the door had him thinking a quick change in course was critical. The loose fitting sweater she wore did nothing to hide the luscious curves of her breasts and that damn mini skirt had made his dick stand up and take notice.

The way she looked at him like he was the meal made his body harden, and his brain malfunction. The way her hot mouth latched onto his nipple had his cock threatening to burst out of his zipper. And the way those soft, deft fingers of hers were trailing lightly across his skin sent a shiver up his spine.

Screw dinner. He wanted to feast on Sierra.

“How hungry are you?” Sierra whispered as she trailed those mind numbing kisses over his tattoo once more.
