Thomas and Karen reserved one for the next weekend using Karen's mother's maiden name which she hoped Madelyn or Luke wouldn't recognized or their friends. They contacted their friend and asked if he and his son could take care of their animals. They were more than happy to help them out. They drove three days to New York. arriving at the horse ranch exactly on Friday. The owner told them that his daughter just had her appendix taken out so they would be there by themselves except for a young girl who was a friend of his daughter would be there to take care of them and his horses.
Victoria was excited to see them. She told them that her parents was into an open marriage. She wasn't sure exactly what it meant but she knew that was why they asked him if she could stay with him and his daughter on weekends. He was their community vet. She told them before Madelyn had asked the vet they would lock her up in her room not to be bothered by her. She also told them some of their parties at the ranch was really weird games that they played.
Grandma asked her what kind of games. Victoria told her they run around naked chasing each other with what looked like blood all over them chanting this weird chant. She asked her mother what was going on the next day. She said they were painting the barn and got hot and went dipping in the pool naked. she admitted to her the group had a little too much to drink.
After that night Madelyn asked the vet if Victoria could spend the weekends over at his place. She told her grandma at least at the horse farm she felt safer than at her parents home. She said that her father flatly refused to let her move back to Porky Pine Hallow. He never gave her a reason. She told her grandmother if he knew they were there he would be real mad and she was afraid he would take it out on her. She made them promise they wouldn't come back.

On Sunday they ate breakfast together then said their goodbyes they left early to miss their daughter or son in law coming to pick up Victoria. leaving a tip on the counter.
