Alina nodded.

Cotiso turned to the rest, waving his hands to his sides. “There, you see? It’s all explained. Just another excited young man playing, well, some innocent fantasies with a beautiful girl! It’s not like we haven’t all done something like it before!”

Tati laughed. “Oh, Corina knows that game, ouch!” He received another pinch. “Will you stop doing that?”

Maria asked, “And her weight in gold?”

Cotiso shrugged. “Like she said, it’s just something she heard him say. The man was being flattering. Why, I can’t tell how many times I said that to my wife!” He laughed. “I guess we can all see now that Alina tends to take things just a little bit too seriously.”

Tsiru laughed. “Yes, but it’s the way she said it. I actually fell for it for a moment.”

“Is this night going to be a story to tell or what?”

“She actually believed it.” Cotiso waved his arms.

“That is funny.” Maria laughed.

Taking Alina’s character into consideration, Corina guessed that none of the men were going to take anything Alina said seriously anymore.

Corina wasn’t satisfied with the ‘naive girl’ explanation, but she wasn’t in the mood for another round, either. She just huffed and gave it a rest, “I think I’ve had enough.”
