"Hey, get a room!" Petr shouts from the deck.
Katya breaks off the kiss with a laugh.
A glance towards the house reveals Petr standing at the edge of the deck with a wide smile.
"You ever get the feeling he was playing matchmaker?" I ask her.
"Yeah. Pretty sure he was." She grins up at me. "Are you ready for this?"
"Born ready."
"Let's go meet the family, hero."
"It's my pleasure, ma'am."
She laughs once more and pulls me towards the deck.
I go, warmth and happiness filling me at the thought of my newfound family.
