"I'm glad to meet you. I know it has only been a couple of weeks, but I feel like I have known you a lot longer," Cat Lady said as she climbed into the jeep. Arflin returned the greeting and backed out of the driveway.

"It must be exciting traveling around the world taking videos of different places," Cat Lady remarked.

"Yes it is. I especially like meeting people from other countries and learning about their customs," he said.

They talked about different things as they headed for Tequendama Falls. When they reached the falls, there was already a crowd of tourists standing there.

"Lets explore some of these dirt roads and maybe the crowds will thin out. We can come back later," Arflin suggested.

"That sounds just fine to me," Cat Lady answered.

He drove down the first dirt road he came to. There were three people standing on the bank fishing. They barely paid any attention to them.

"I don't want to disturb their fishing. We will try another trail," Arflin said as he turned the jeep around and headed for another trail.

The next dirt road was secluded and ideal for what Arflin had in mind. There was no one at the river.

"Let me get my camcorder from the back of the jeep. I want to get some film footage of the river from this angle. I want you in there also. I want you to walk down near the edge of the river. When I tell you to, I want you to slowly turn around and face me. Don't turn around until I tell you," Arflin cautioned Cat Lady.

Cat Lady did as she was instructed and walked down by the river and waited for Arflin's command to turn around. She had no way of knowing it, but this where Arflin planned to slip up behind her and cut her throat.

"Just stay right where you are until I get everything set," Arflin shouted to her.

"I will not move one inch until I hear you tell me to turn around," Cat Lady promised.

Arflin got the large hunting knife he had purchased earlier from the back of the jeep where he had hidden it and slowly crept up behind Cat Lady. In one swift motion he reached around and slashed her throat. She tried to scream, but could only make a gurgling sound as she lay on the river bank and bled to death.

Arflin tossed the knife into the river and got back into the jeep. He wanted to get away from the area as quickly as possible before someone stumbled onto Cat Lady's body. As he was about to turn onto the paved road two policemen spotted him and motioned for him to pull over. He couldn't get to the pistol he bought because it was hidden in the back of the jeep.
