She wrote down every little detail.about the baby including the parents names. She proceeded to the health department and was able to get a copy of her birth certificatte. She had been assigned a social security number at the hospital when she was born She got a form to mail to the social security office to get a replacement social security card in the mail by mailing the birth certificate to them. She stopped back by the library and made three more copies of the birth certificate. She mailed the one that she recieved from the health department to the social security office. She stopped by her landlord's house and showed her birth certificate to her. Her landlord informed her that she made a mistake on the reciept. She thought she said Marla instead of Karla. She tokd her well that was a resonable mistake because her granddaughter's name is Maria. She made out another lease agreement and reciept. Then Marla stopped by the cafe and showed one to her new boss and filled out a employement application. Her boss applogized to her for not remembering her name.
Marla told her that was alright she understood why she couldn't remember. Her new boss told her that her church members and other business owners would frown on her for leaving her business to someone she didn't even know so she had told them that her neice was coming to help her out.
