Galaxy and Pi were both quiet when they woke up because they didn’t want to disturb the other elfins, but Zhang Zian and Richard had caused a scene.
Richard flapped its wings as it flew around the room, its feathers falling everywhere, and it didn’t forget to taunt Zhang Zian, who was chasing after it with a feather duster. “Ga ga! Even if you’re an experienced crossdresser, the difficulty of putting on a bikini is still slightly high for you. I didn’t consider it carefully!”
Zhang Zian bent down. “I dare you to stop!”
“Ga ga! Stupid! Won’t I fall if I stop? Do you know about gravity?” Richard didn’t budge; it didn’t fall for Zian’s taunt.
Their noisy actions had disturbed the other elfins.
After Fina woke up, it didn’t stay on the bed for another half an hour like it usually did, but instead, it immediately jumped off of the princess bed. For the first time, it was the second one to leave the bedroom and Snowy Lionet, who was lying down at the side of the bed, was in a complete blur.
“Meow meow meow! This old lady is probably still dreaming,” Snowy Lionet muttered a few words before it continued to sleep.
Fina’s abnormal behavior caused a temporary peace in the battle between Zhang Zian and Richard. They both exchanged glances––no one knew what was wrong with Fina today.
Guangdang!
Ding!
“Achoo!”
Strange noises could be heard coming from the kitchen.
It did not take long before Fina returned, but its movements were weird and awkward. It was only walking on three legs with one of its paws up in the air. It looked like it was holding something, and its face was turned towards the opposite direction.
She pushed open the door to the bathroom and went straight inside.
Moments later, someone exclaimed, “Puwah! It’s spicy!”
Sihwa’s scream and the sound of water splashing could be heard coming out of the bathroom.
A golden figure quickly leaped out of the bathroom. On Fina’s face was the smile of a victor, even though it was still sneezing. It had a weird really look on its face.
Zhang Zian curiously walked into the bathroom, only to see that Sihwa had splashed water all over the bathroom. With tears in her eyes, Sihwa stuck her tongue out and couldn’t stop blowing her nose.
The water in the bathtub was almost a complete red. Tiny flecks of chili powder were floating on the surface of the water.
Sihwa had tears and mucus flowing profusely from the spice. Her fair, white skin was turned the color of a red cooked prawn, and chili powder was also stuck on her seaweed-like, curly hair. Somehow, Zhang Zian thought of the dish hot and sour fish…
It was only now that he understood what had happened. Fina had gone straight to the kitchen after waking up because it wanted to get a pawful of chili powder and, while Sihwa was still asleep, she emptied all of it into the bathtub and retreated immediately.
Ever since Sihwa had come to stay with them, both her and Fina were not happy with one another. They clashed with each other countless times every day, be it in the open or not. Relying on the fact that the bathroom was her turf, Sihwa had made use of the water to protect herself, forcing Fina, who hated to get wet, to retreat each time.
Now, Fina had gotten back one round.
“Achoo!”
Hearing that, Zhang Zian turned around to look at the princess bed.
Fina did not seem to be doing too well, either; some of the chili powder had made its way into her nose and she couldn’t stop sneezing.
Even Snowy Lionet, who would usually comfort her during such times, decided to stay far away.
This is a freaking double-edged sword!
“Scary, scary,” Richard muttered to itself.
“Indeed, it’s very scary.” It was a rare occasion where Zhang Zian had the same sentiments as Richard.
With tears in her eyes, Sihwa fumbled around with some difficulty before she got ahold of the shower head. She washed her face and hair before she pulled out the bathtub drain stopper and drained away the chili water. She then filled the bathtub with new water.
The chili powder was definitely not Fina’s first attempt at hurting Sihwa. The night before, Fina had thrown a pawful of salt into the bathtub, but sadly, the salt that was an enemy to the cat family was nothing to a mermaid, and Sihwa seemed to enjoy soaking in the salt water.
In the bathtub now was salt and pepper. It felt like Fina was planning something big…
Even Famous and Old Time Tea, who were in a deep sleep, were woken up by their constant noise.
Especially Famous––its nose was too sensitive, so it could already smell the chili powder when Fina had returned to the bedroom. It sensed the coming of a big war that might involve the innocent, so it held a dental stick that was used for oral cleaning in its mouth and headed downstairs.
While it was heading downstairs, it raised its front paw in a depressed manner to take a look. Its paw was red just like Fina’s––the only difference was that the red on Fina’s paw was from the leftover chili powder, while Famous’s was red from an ink pad. It couldn’t even remember how many pawprint autographs it had given to its fans.
Not only that, but its fur was also mixed with the aroma of various cosmetics—his lady fans loved to hug Famous around its neck to take a picture or a selfie, and when they did that, the cosmetics and perfume on them and their clothes naturally got on Famous’s fur. Very few ladies left home without any makeup on.
There were also quite a number of guys with makeup on––although it was very light, the smell could not hide from its nose.
Zhang Zian was envious of Famous, but Famous was more than willing to exchange places with him. Famous felt that it was about to suffer from a pollen allergy, and it only took Famous a few days before it could smell the different cosmetic price ranges from their aroma…
It was said that Binhai Studio was actively responding to the call of the municipal government’s intention to promote the city through entertainment and tourism. There were plans to build a Star Avenue and invite a group of local celebrity big names to leave their name and handprints.
They had just received news over the past two days that Famous was on the list of invited celebrities, and, as a local celebrity from Binhai City, Famous’s paw print would be among those at the top.
Right after Famous went downstairs, Old Time Tea, too, could not handle the noise. It put on its bamboo hat and headed downstairs where it was quieter, and, like usual, it watched the local morning news.
Fina underestimated the lethality and stickiness of the chili powder. No matter how much it swung its paw, it just couldn’t get the remaining chili powder off, which is why it couldn’t stop sneezing.
It didn’t want to get the chili powder onto her princess bed––it wouldn’t be able to sleep if that happened––so it thought of a very simple idea. It ran over to Zhang Zian’s bed and rubbed her paw against his bedsheet. It was finally clean from the chili powder.
Zhang Zian was angry, but he didn’t dare to say anything.
“Meow meow meow! Your Majesty, forgive me for offending you, but what you did earlier was not right.” Unexpectedly, Snowy Lionet actually came forward to speak up for him.
“What is wrong?” Fina asked with curiosity.
Zhang Zian thought that Snowy Lionet had finally changed for the better, but just before he could feel touched, Snowy Lionet pointed towards the center, slightly to the bottom of the bedsheet and said, “In my opinion, you should’ve rubbed the chili powder on that spot.”
“Why is that?” Fina still didn’t understand the difference.
With no good intentions, Snowy Lionet stared at Zhang Zian’s crotch. “So this one could have a freshly slaughtered, freshly diced, and freshly marinated spicy diced chicken…”
Zhang Zian’s chrysanthemum tightened!
Fine, I’ll take back what I said. This crotch staring cat will never change!
