The whole day just continued with one accusation and another against Maxine and Kelsey. It all stimulated from Maxine keeping her cherished items and the house from him and he was entitled to them. First her father's lawyer said that Kelsey could not be Maxine's daughter because she was fertile. Kelsey's lawyer showed the birth certificate plus pictures of Maxine with her best friend Audrey almost from the start of Maxine's pregnancy to the right up to the time Kelsey was born.arranged with little quotations beside or under every picture in a scrap book.

His lawyer was striking out with every allegations to why Kelsey didn't deserve the rest of her mother's estate. What nailed the coffin is when Kelsey's lawyer showed right after Maxine's death her father kicked her out then sold the house in New York for triple the money Maxine bought it for and then his bank statements where he blew that money and wanted the rest of her money to blow more, leaving his daughter bankrupted and homeless out on the streets. That was exactly what Maxine thought he would do.
The judge ruled in Kelsey's favor making her father mad that he stormed out of the courthouse cursing at her. Half way down the front steps of the court house Kelsey heard Cory call her name. She turned to see him when a gunshot rang out. It was only one shot. It hit her in her upper right shoulder. She passed out falling into her lawyers arms. Audrey was just one of many people who called 911 to get help for her.
She was rushed to the hospital where she under went surgery. The police said her father was at the side of the courthouse with one of his legal team when she was shot by a high power rifle.
