The next day in the paper she read about the murders of everyone that was in the building including her mother, the technican and his girlfriend. It listed the reason for the hit was illegal drugs. She called the center's main office and acted like she hadn't been able to make it the night before.
she was informed the center was closed and wouldn't be opening for quite some time if ever again.
She inquired about the money she had recieved from them. She was told it was hers, that was her sign up bonus and she kept her end of the deal. She was so relieved. She requested some time off from work stating her grandfather was ill and her grandmother couldn't take care of him and her siblings at the same time. Her boss understood and told her to take as much time as she needed
Her grandparent knew she had lied to her boss but they understood why. They also knew that sometimes a little white lie is alright when it meant keeping safe. They also knew that every one would enjoy having her home.
