"Hey Sputnik!" Aurora shouted releasing her assault, firing as fast as her semi-automatic could discharge. She pumped seven shots into his gut before he turned his 12 gauge on her. She scored two more hits into her mark before having to withdraw as he turned his attack onto her. A blast of buckshot lit up the air as his thunder buster echoed off the walls. His aim this time not so true, missing the young woman yet deferring her momentum. Diving out of the blast range, Aurora could hear a muffled cry from her partner calling her name, who from his hidden vantage point lost visual contact with her. Turning her head back, she could see the giant roaming behind her taking aim once more. Crawling over the floor like a child, she in vain attempted to flee his sight but to her horror, he was right over her.

"Turn little lady and face me now," the monster said as he stood over her ready to pounce. All Aurora could do was look up into the open mouth of the shotgun and wait for its deadly release. "It takes more than a little pellet gun to bring down a Russian such as I," he said pulling open his long coat to reveal the body armor beneath. "Good bye pretty one," he said about to pull the trigger when the sound of other gunfire disturbed his moment of glory. Stryker with all he had left, let loose an impressive display of firepower that slashed into the tile wall behind the big man before engraving upon his thick Russian military chest plate.

Although his rapid fire backed up the giant Russian giving his female companion time to move off to safer ground, it still didn't take the big man off his feet. A frustrated Aurora would have joined the aggression from her position below the armored man with an ending head shot, but to her dismay she had already delivered the last of her magazines supply. Although the onslaught was of Stryker's offensive, he was not in a good position to make a truly worthy blitz and their adversary remained battle ready.

Trying to work her way back to Stryker, Aurora could feel her hunter bearing down on her from behind. With an empty clip and her backups spent as well, her only recourse was to stand and fight the mountain of a man. Her well tried skills in hand to hand combat would have, could have worked on a man of normal proportions. But with a human being who could take numerous body shots from close range and a powerhouse weapon like Stryker's and withstand it all armor or not, a few kicks and a punch or two was not going to do hell of a lot on Ivan. Retreat was her only alternative.
