The station now in an uproar, as transit police patrolled the complex aided by NYPD officers now engaging in the hunt for the gunman. Assemblies of Homeland Security were just arriving and swarmed over the building from the Garden arena above to the lower levels of the subway structure. The only advantage the gunman had been their inutility and as long as they didn't draw fire, ran like any other fearful commuter and felt they would be safe. The threesome walked hasty but without bringing any unwanted attention to themselves. Each still wishing to will the game and fight for the right to be the superior assassin, but the high cost of fighting a police force brought a humility they had to swallow.
"Stryker look over there!" Aurora said as they approached a cluster of well-armed men in full urban battle gear.
"Just keep walking and say nothing as we pass," Stryker said as he led his two female companions into what to Aurora viewed as nothing less than the lion's den.
"I don't like…..this," said an uneasy Aurora, who unlike Jimmy Vegas, had no poker face to hide behind. She wore her emotions on her sleeve and being an awful actress, she couldn't help but give away herself as someone attempting to hide something. A trait even the CIA could not break.
"Aurora, remain cool," a whispering Stryker commented as they neared six commandos of Homeland Security, each posing with assault rifles and heavy Kevlar vests. "Just walk with the group and don't draw attention to us," he added as a fidgeting Aurora started to make him nervous. Jodi too could see the dismay on the other girls face and feared it would call way too much attention to them. She started to drop back a little from the other two as not to giveaway her association to them. She was not looking for an accusation to be remarked when passing such well-armed warriors. She knew even Stryker's superior weapon was still no match for six fully automatic assault rifles in an all-out firefight.
The group of three flanked on all sides from the armed personnel attempted to blend in with the crowd and walk past the defense force. Aurora held her head low trying not to make eye contact more than she needed. Jodi a little envy of the tools on which they relied on couldn't help but eye their impressive armory the men held in their grasp.
"You there, hold up," a voice called from off to the left of the threesome. Looking up, Aurora thought it was her the urban soldier was referring to and so did Jodi. "Do you have ID?" the large man quested as a stunned Aurora realized that his visualization was not upon her but that of her male counterpart. Stryker turning his head gazed his way before responding.
