"You are getting too close to the deep end."

Before she could jump in after Punkin, a handsome gentleman touched her on the shoulder and said, "Let me get her for you." His voice was so masculine, it bordered on seductive. His simple touch on the shoulder sent twinges through her spine. She was taken aback by his physique that was so on point, she almost forgot about Punkin.

A warm breeze of air brought her back to reality.

Punkin was on her tippy toes trying to make it back to shallow water and he reached her within seconds. He brought the pony-tailed little girl back past the three feet marker.

Lela decided to get in the pool to be near the kids just in case one of them tried to pull a fast one again. The gentleman stayed in the pool, too.

It had been six months since they last laid eyes on each other, but the dark lighting in the club mixed with alcohol did no justice to the sight she was seeing before her. Neil was one handsome man. Every chance she got, she admired his fit body stroking through the cool water in the pool.

They eyed each other, but neither spoke more than two words to the other.

Lela could not believe how tense she was around him. She normally exuded self confidence when around men, but the countless failed relationships left her feeling inadequate or incapable of interacting with potentially good men.

Even though she tried to get in her confident zone again, she couldn't get up enough nerve to approach Neil. Without the Courvoisier in her system, like that night at the club, she could see herself getting nowhere with him unless he took the lead.

Every chance Lela got she would sneak a peek at Neil's broad shoulders and masculine chest. His six pack down to the bulge in his swim trunks took her to a whole new level of horniness. Hey, it had been six months. She noticed him looking at her breasts, and the fact that he was checking her out made him look even hotter. She had to get out of the pool and fast. Being in the same vicinity as him was driving her crazy. After getting out, she asked Aunt Dawn, who was poolside, to watch the kids for a minute while she fetched something from her room.

"Uh…we've been out here a while, so I need to get more suntan lotion for myself and the kids," she lied, excusing herself. On her way to the room, she took a deep breath and tried to shake this man from her thoughts, though beautiful thoughts indeed.
