Lela's long-lashed brown eyes did a double take. She did not want to believe what she saw. Her man's arm was snugly wrapped around some white chick.

"I know he's not out here advertising this…this bitch," Lela yelled, with more disappointment than anger, but it was not long before anger took up residence in every bone in her body. By this time, Lela was out of the car and moving full speed, with her beautiful black weave dancing in the wind. She was at The Fat Cherry's glass door before Tonya knew she had even exited the car.

"Wait, Lela!" Tonya tried unsuccessfully to stop her. She knew with Lela's temper anything was possible, and she was not about to let her girl scrap without her. So, she took off her stilettos and earrings and followed behind Lela.

Lela's eyes confirmed what her heart wanted to deny. Tyrese was all over some high-priced, model-looking white girl. He was devouring the girl's hot fudge-covered finger like it was the best thing since sliced bread. "Hell to the naw!" she screamed while still standing outside The Fat Cherry. She lingered at the establishment's glass door, committing the scene in front of her to memory.

Entering the store, she moved like a stealth assassin in Tyrese's direction. He appeared to be so into his date, he didn't notice Lela or Tonya approaching their table.

Lela's rule of thumb in the past had been to never blame the woman, but she had a good mind to beat the girl down on sheer principle. She hadn't quite decided what she was going to do to Tyrese yet.

Unaware of their plight, Tyrese and Sarah giggled and flirted seductively back and forth.

Lela came completely unglued when she heard him say, "Come on then, baby girl. What do you want to do first?" and she responded, "Let's go to the mall."

When Tyrese rose to help his date from her seat, he turned and found himself standing face to face with Lela. He quickly gave Sarah an order, but kept his eyes glued to Lela.

"Go on to the car, Sarah." His voice was low and controlled. "I got to take care of something."

Sarah looked from Lela to Tyrese, then from Tyrese to Lela.

"What's the problem, babe?"

That's when Lela took it back to 1999. "Bitch, you the problem!

You got some nerve sitting up here with my man asking questions."

By now, she was all in Sarah's face. "And if you don't keep it moving, you about to find out exactly how big the problem is!" Lela turned to Tyrese. Now it was his turn for a reading. "And you, Ty!
