The state patrol, US Marshalls, and FBI decided to relocate the justices to an unknown location and shut down the state courthouse untill further notice. All employees including Jen was given paid vacation till further notice. Jen decided that back home would be safer for Butch and her Butch was let out in the enclosed back yard. Jen stayed indoors untill dark and sat on the patio with very dim lights on so not to be recognizable.
Jen or momma Waters didn't know where Alex was being held and hadn't been able to talk to him.Jen missed not be able to talk with him. She also missed not being able to work and she admitted to herself that she missed talking to her coworkers and allof the judges especially the newest judge. One evening after dark a car pulled up and a couple of deputies escorted Judge Hall into the house and situated in the family room. When Jen walked into the family room the deputies stepped out so judge Hall and Jen could talk alone.
Judge Hall started the conversation by asking if she could call her Jen and not Mrs. Waters then she started telling Jen that Alex was hitting on her and she wanted Jen to know. Jen started laughing which kind of shocked Judge Hall. Jen didn't ask permission to call judge Hall Sarah it just came out. Then she told her that if she had to pick between her and the dog handler to be her sister in law that she won hands down Jen yelled at momma Watersto come in and told her that Alex has a sweetheart and hopefully she would be a grandma fairly soon and Jen was looking forward to being an aunt
