Arya stood there frozen. He was even ready to nurture the child even if he was disabled. But now the news that he is not alive made him smash to smithereens.
Lakshmi and Gayathri were also shocked by hearing it. Lakshmi saw Arya and saw him devastated. He hugged Lakshmi and started crying on her shoulders. Lakshmi also cried but she managed herself and spoke,” If you cry then who can console Adhira? At least for her sake, I want you to be strong.”
Arya saw his mother and said,” What can I say her?”
Lakshmi hugged and cried with him. Gayathri had tears in her eyes but she managed not to be more emotional. The doctor came and asked Arya to sign in the documents so that he can carry on with their rituals for their son.
Arya took the documents and signed them. The nurse came and handed over the body to him. Arya cried out loud. He saw Lakshmi and said, “First time I am carrying my son and he is not alive.”
“I don’t know what sin I have done in this world to go through this.”
Gayathri came forward to console him but Lakshmi signaled her to stay so she did the same. They both let Arya pour out his emotions out and stood there standing.
Lakshmi had informed Adhira’s parents before starting from home. So they arrived at the hospital and called Lakshmi to get to know about their whereabouts.
Lakshmi saw the display and with a heavy heart she took the call, “Hello.”
Dhivya was able to sense her shaky tone but still she didn’t want to come to any conclusion also they are already in the hospital so she can speak directly and know the happenings. She replied,” Hello. What is the room number? We are outside the hospital. Can you come out or shall we identify and come?”
Lakshmi replied back,” You can come near the reception area. I will send Gayathri.”
“Okay. How is Adhira?”
“She is fine. I will send Gayathri to rest we can talk directly.”
Lakshmi didn’t want to reveal anything over the phone as she knows that Dhivya has a fragile heart and she can’t handle such shock. Lakshmi asked Gayathri to wipe off her tears and bring them here. She also instructed her not to reveal anything until they get here.
Gayathri went there and saw that Dhivya and Suresh had come. She greeted them and asked to come along with her. Dhivya found it unusual as Gayathri had never been this quite with them. She was the one who brought this alliance and has always been talking something or other whenever she saw them even if it is for a minute.
