Adhira was admitted in the hospital. She was able to feel the baby kicking her vibrantly. Arya wasn’t allowed inside so he was standing outside and it had started to rain outside.
He was able to relate the thunder rising up in his heart to the rumble of the clouds outside. He was restless and all he was able to hear was his wife struggling in pain inside.
Adhira couldn’t bear the pain and her screams increased while the nurses asked her to push hard. She screamed,”Maaaaaaa……….” Arya wanted to rush inside the room and hold her hands but he also pacified himself saying that if he had been there he would cry and won’t be able to see her in so much pain. So being outside is better than inside.
Meanwhile Lakshmi and Gayathri had arrived to the hospital with her belongings and they had also brought some food with them. Arya felt a moral support seeing both of them.
Lakshmi asked him about her and he informed that she is in Labor ward. He took them and showed the room.
Arya was able to hear her screaming his name. He ignored everyone and went to the door. He saw her through the window and opened the door. The nurse stopped him but Adhira held her hands high seeing him gesturing to hold hers. Despite the nurse warning he went to her and held her hands. He saw a totally different Adhira who was all sweaty, tired and weak.
Her hands were trembling and he was able to feel that her cold hands. He rubbed her hands to make her feel warm. He kissed her hands and said, “Everything will be alright soon. I am there with you.”
The doctor asked him to go outside so that they can do their work. He wanted to stay but the doctors didn’t allow him. He wasn’t sure what to do at that moment as leaving her side was making him feel terrible.
Lakshmi came inside and she took him outside so that the doctors can proceed. Adhira was given injection and they also asked her to push hard. Adhira with all the energy left pushed and even the nurse aside helped her.
After some time the doctor informed her that the baby is coming out and it is within a matter of time the baby will be out and asked her to keep pushing.
Since it was a normal delivery Adhira was able to feel the baby coming out and also she felt like her body is about to explode as it was too much pain. After her struggle they finally took the baby out and doctor informed her that it was a boy.
