Arya completed his dinner and went to wash his plate. Lakshmi went behind him and asked,” Did you both fight?”
Arya saw Adhira who was sitting on the table and then turned his mom and replied,” No mom. Why did you ask me this?”
“Arya, I am your mother and I know you well. So, you better don’t need to lie. Tell me the truth.”
“Ma, really we didn’t fight. It’s just that I am feeling weary.”
Lakshmi didn’t believe him but she didn’t want to embarrass him asking the same question so she left from there and started to eat her dinner.
After their dinner everyone went to their room as well as Arya and Adhira too. Adhira saw him locking the door and coming to bed. She spoke up,” Wait a minute. Help me change the bed covers.”
He helped her in changing the sheets and while doing so Adhira spoke up,” Arya, I don’t think I need time to think on it. I have made a decision to work and I will ask your parents opinion tomorrow” saying it she placed the pillow back and slept on her side turning her back towards him without waiting for his reply.
Arya thought, ‘Why is she so firm about this decision? I am just worried about her health and what is the need so suddenly? I just don’t get her? Or does she thinks that I won’t help her family? Doesn’t she trust me enough?’
