Monica was told that her clothes and money was at the professor's house in safe keeping for her when she could get away from him. Monica thanked her friend and asked her to keep her in her prayers.
When Darin came back he was in a foul mood and was going to take it out on Monica when she held her stomach and said oh gosh hopefully I can make it to the bathroom. She headed down the hall holding her mouth as though she was going to get sick. She hated to lie to Darin but had no choice and was trying to figure a way to get out of her beloved town. She stayed in the bathroom for awhile and sprayed and cleaned the toilet with Clorax to make it looked as though she had gotten sick and used mouth wash too.
