“So are there many of us?” I enquire
“Yes, you would actually be surprised by the amount of us there are”.
“How long are you here for?”
Now she chuckles "we were actually here for a day my husband was asked to transport some items to the immortal world. We had just gotten here and Kale decided to go shopping. As he was on his way back. He saw you. And he presumed you didn’t know what you were or what was happening to you. He has never experienced what that is like because he has grown up knowing what he is but a part of him imagined what it would feel like, he has been trying to find the courage to approach you for some time now but he wasn’t even really sure what you were. He based this on his gut feeling. Today he finally managed to confront you. And well you know the rest.”
“Why am I different? I mean my families are all human, of that I am positive”
“Well I don’t know how the universe chooses us. Most immortals are born like my entire family.
We were descended from one generation until the next; but every 100 years or so an immortal can be born to completely human parents. We haven’t really found a solid explanation for that except maybe some people are destined for greater things.”
