The electric spark that I constantly feel when I am around Julian returns, and I know instantly whose arms I’m in.
“Don’t you dare bow down in front of me.”
He whispers in my ear and he nods his head letting everyone know that it’s ok to stand up. Did they do that at the dance as well? Maybe, because I know by the time I reached there everyone was already there. I was really late. I guess I missed that part.
I’m so caught up in him holding me that I really don’t want him to let me go, but all too soon he lets go and the strange warm electric feeling disappears leaving coldness in its wake.
He lets his arm drop down as he once again holds my hand. This is so euphoric.
And my heart is beating ferociously at this point. Even though I had the worst day ever, this here, makes it all better. He is like a siren calling to me and I want nothing more than to go wherever he leads, he opens the passenger door and I jump inside as he closes the door and takes his place at the driver’s seat.
“So how did you sleep last night?”
“Good, I’m really sorry that I fell asleep, I said that I would close my eyes for two seconds and before I know it, it was midnight. I came to check on you and you were knocked out too. By the way how did I get to the bedroom? Don’t tell me you carried me, because that’s too embarrassing.”
