“No, Mrs Kalpana it’s just lovely of you to bring me lunch. The food looks delicious. Where’s your lunch?”
“My lunch is in my cabin.”
“I want you to have lunch with me Mrs Kalpana. Bring your lunch here and we will have it together.”
Jay was sitting in his office. Today his mind seemed to be wandering. He was not able to concentrate ion his work. Cia’s face would appear in his thoughts. He decided to have a look at what she was doing. After all it was her first day she might need some help. Who was he trying to fool ? He actually wanted to meet her again.
He heard someone laughing as soon as he opened her door. Mrs Kalpana and Cia seemed to be laughing together and sharing lunch.
“I’m sorry I interrupted your lunch Cia. I had simply come over to ask if you were comfortable. “
“Not at all sir, you may join us I was just laughing over Mrs Kalpana’s grandson anecdotes.”
“Cia I will leave for home by seven. Since you have no transport I will drop you home.”
“I can walk home sir, I don’t want to trouble you.”
“Don’t be silly I live next door so it is no hassle, unless you would prefer some other company.”
