When Linda woke up hours later, in the dark of the night, there was no light in the room. She knew Bill had done it. But she had to discover who he was. Slowly, she walked to the study she had seen earlier and checked through the books. One of the books he found was a signed copy from Richard Bradley. An Entrepreneur and Billionaire from Australia.

It was autographed to Bill Mayan. Linda surprised herself. She had taken pride in addressing the man as Mr. Mayor yet his name was Mayan and he had not even bothered correcting her. He might be thinking I am so dumb. She criticized herself. She looked at the book again, focusing on the autograph and Bradley had stated clearly

-To my partner in *All*

Bill Mayan. You'll always be at heart. With you, we'll run the world.

Yours,

-Richard Bradley. Love*

Then he'd encrypted his signature and inserted a smiley. Linda wondered whether Bradley was gay or whether it was okay for men to mention hearts and stickers when they were autographing business books to their colleagues. She shrugged.

She found an empty book and realized it had been so long since she'd written any dreams down and she knew now was the time. She was going to write down whatever she wanted, one by one. Then she would let the list grow larger with more exposure, an awakening. Coming back three and a half years from a zero was like resurrecting. She had to act. At all costs, and nothing would stop her this time round. She had nothing to lose. She also read several magazines about the "Bill Mayan Enterprises" and the impression was remarkable. The man was only thirty-one, yet he had the guts to scare the heck out of her life.

"He is young, yet achieved really much. Could this be the reason for the attitude?" Linda thought to herself. She read about his real estate business, noting that it was one of the reasons he had accumulated so much at a seemingly young age. He had graduated from college a multimillionaire with the money he had earned from the Bill Malayaika Program, which he had launched as a beauty pageant across different colleges per semester. He had succeeded in getting it sponsors. The boy had art and from that, he had managed to launch a fitness bikini business which had skyrocketed since then.

Etcetera etcetera… The achievements were many. Linda wondered why a man like Bill stayed here by himself yet he could get enough at any cost. She was sure he had a que of women waiting for him wherever he went. She felt the desire she had almost got for him brighten and then die again. With the words he had said to her yesterday, she could guarantee you he did not have a grain of interest in her. All he did must have been out of sympathy. But she would prove him wrong. She was not going to settle here and wallow in self-pity. Linda was still thinking through it when a call at the front door startled her. It was a bell. She wondered whether Bill was going out again. She thought of living later in the day as well. Just the fact that she had been brought here didn't mean that she was here to stay.
