After the crime scene was cleared and the renovation was on the go again the two men under Kim went to work hanging wall board and painting. Mr. Astor asked them why Kim wasn't there and they told him that she had been sent out ot town to inspect and appraise a big job of renovating a hotel but wasn't told in what city. She was accompanied by detective Scott to New York City where so many people disappear at a higher rate than other cities but they aren't listed missing unless their families really know that the person hadn't juat up and left on their own.
The next city Castle Rock was smaller than New York and over five hundred people was listed missing. Three were in wheelchairs and couldn't walk and had been seen at home that evening when their relatives had left the house and when they came back their relatives had just up and dis appeared withot a trace
The third city Burlingham was missing as many people but heard that they left on their own to live in a commune so they came home without any evidence and if they were practicy vampirism they still are dangerous people. Detective Scott warned the Andersons not to let one person work on their own at the manor.
