'Something not to your liking?'

Glancing up Felicity fervently hoped that Ethan in the darkness couldn't see that she had been inadvertently staring at his groin. Caught in Ethan's laughing gaze she was dismayed to realize that her hope was futile and the colour of her skin responded appropriately.

'Er…Not to my liking?' his groin? 'You were shaking your head…Do you still want to go out for dinner? If you're finding out it's too soon and you're feeling unsure please let me know. There's no problem about going back and ordering home delivery.'

'Oh…Oh no. I'm fine really. Just disappointed that I don't recall any of these sights.'

'Maybe you're Victorian.'

'God forbid!'

'From Queensland?'

'A cane toad. I think not!'

'Mm…definitely a New South Welshman.'

'You think so?' I don't know how but I know what you're talking about just like I knew about where we were going when you mentioned that tonight's destination was Centre Point Tower.' Felicity couldn't help but feel better at this inkling of her background. 'And I'm looking forward to dinner…Really.' That's if I survive this trip, she moaned inwardly.

It took too long to come and yet came too quick. The moment arrived when the restaurant was reached. At least the car came to halt at an entrance proudly declaring "Sydney Tower" in bright blue neon lights. Chloe obviously knew this to be a restaurant if her eagerness to leave was any indication, Felicity surmised. The little girl scrambled out of her booster only a fraction faster and more ladylike than Felicity felt she did. I've had enough of Ethan's aura, she concluded. For the moment, anyway. Ethan, she dryly noted, exited in a manner more appropriate for an adult. An infuriating half smile hovered on his lips.

Felicity took in huge gasps of cool night air in an attempt to ease the constriction around her chest. Ethan also took in huge lung full's of air. Felicity wondered if it was an attempt to ease the constriction she'd been caught staring at before. Chloe just took in more air to continue chattering.

Ethan took a hold of his daughters hand and with the other indicated for Felicity to precede him into the lobby and down the gentle slope past a dazzling array of clothing and accessory shops. Felicity's disinterest in the dazzling array of women's finery was duly noted Ahead lay the central bank of elevators that whisked patrons up into the sky to the very top of the wire strung tower. Ethan had promised a view and he delivered. The tower and its revolving restaurant commanded a superlative view of the vista that was Sydney, bathed as it was in the deepening blue shadows and shimmering reflections of the sun setting behind the distant Blue Mountains. As the maitre de led them to their table Ethan remarked. 'Be careful to take your bearing if you ladies go to powder your nose. It's deceptive how fast the outer circle rotates.'
