Later, sitting with Marcie at the bar, sipping on a local cocktail, she noticed ‘her guide’ as she had begun to think of him, standing just outside the bar area. He looked utterly irresistible in a khaki cargo pants and a loose green cotton shirt, his body the colour of mahogany.

T’Shaun also noticed the woman sitting by the bar. He couldn't take his eyes off the darkhaired woman. He had been watching her and her friend this morning too, on the climb up to the top of Qualibou. She was beautiful, with her slim figure dressed in a long jersey dress, hugging every curve in her curvaceous body. crazy hair and bright brown eyes not far off the colour of the mixture she was drinking. It wasn't her looks that attracted him though; he saw plenty of that in his

line of work. It was her weariness and intensity that enticed him. He wondered what or whom she was weary of. He walked over to the bar.

“Good evening!”

“Did you ladies enjoy yourselves this morning?”

That voice caught her once again. It wrapped itself around her like warm honey being poured. The three began exchanging pleasantries - their stay, the climb

earlier that day, the food and the openness of the locals. The conversation was strangely hesitant though considering the naturalness of its content. Marcie
